In this tutorial we combine the emitter,tracer and matric object in Cinema 4D to create tracing particles. We then look at how to control the system using a forcefield.

Nice and clear. A simple to follow demonstration of how this stuff works. Thank-you. The thing that I do not understand is that, in the video (4:59), the particles going around the circular field get deflected at different radii, producing variations in orbit. I followed the tutorial I think exactly - but mine all follow the same orbit radius. I cannot see what I am missing.

Make sure the velocity type is set to "change direction" and "invert direction" is un-ticked. To invert the direction make sure you have the spline selection in the Object properties panel.

@@BoldBreak Thanks for the response. Those settings were correct, but rebuilding it from scratch - it just worked first time. In the end I spotted that I had 'reverse' clicked on the original circle - and that was the culprit. Again, a clear concise tutorial, thank-you.

I'm actually trying to reduce the radius of the particles that go around the circle so I can enclose them all in a tube after they're emitted but I can't find how to do that, if either of you @iaredatsun or @BoldBreak have any suggestions they are highly appreciated.

Hi, How i can ajdust emitter speed ? for expamle i want its start's fast after few second its becomes slower. For one line with stop emission 1 frame

use friction

How do you get the particles to go forward then start going around the circle? for me, when it starts emitting, it immediately starts going around the circle
@BoldBreak
@BoldBreak 8 месяцев назад
Connect a straight spline to the circle.

Would you have any suggestions on how to use Force Field to follow a spline AND rotation so the particles spiral around the spline? Can't get it to work :'''(
@BoldBreak
@BoldBreak 7 месяцев назад
Try adding rotation force,.
@posebukse
@posebukse 7 месяцев назад
@@BoldBreak yes of course, but it doesn’t work combining forces.
@BoldBreak
@BoldBreak 6 месяцев назад
You can exclude e and include certain forces, although that can get messy. Baking separately as an alembic in two different scene to eventually merge together ? @@posebukse

the magnify mouse pointer thingy is pretty annoying and doesn't really help. btw the way the start to spin around the circle is not smooth/natural... I don't think it's something you can use as it is.. maybe you can reduce the force field influence?

How do I get to see something? Where do put geometry and materials so you can actually see something when you render?
@BoldBreak

@@schmergenz Hey I don't full understand your question. Are you having issue re-creating the scene in cinema 4D or have you purchased the working file from the store ?
@schmergenz

@@BoldBreak Hi, sorry I'm a novice so probably didn't pose the question correctly. What I was trying to ask is, after you have constructed this particle system, how do you then get it to look like it does in the thumbnail preview of your video with those really nice looking light streaks etc?
