I can't clone any geometry to my FBX model because when I put a sphere in Mograph Cloner (4:12), I am not able to change any parametre of Cloner as the options are not highlighted. I am not able to select any of the options from Object mode to Grid array mode, any of the option. Can anyone please help me with the problem?
at 4:24 it stops working and the spheres dont connect to the body but just at the waist? even if the cloner object mode is set to object and the polygon is dragged in. Am I missing something here?
hey greyscale, awesome tutorial but have a slight problem till the point i make the cloner object. My cloner simply greys out and is non responsive to assign the sphere to the object. any solution to go about this? I'm using R17
I´d love one with cloth on (?!) Seriously, a darkened room, some massive wind tears curtains and let the outside light shine in. Maybe the curtain that gets ripped hangs in a statue or something. It would show exterior lighting for rooms, dynamic forces, strecthes and tears on cloths, maybe animating camera exposure. It would be fun!
I like any fun things, maybe with fluids, emmiters. I liked Chris'animations with cars and motors. Connectors and spring is not very clear for my, i want to make funny puppet ))). Thanks!

can you set the dancer to a certain beats per minute? seems pointless (to me) if they're dancing completely off beat to the adjoining music. the mixamo speed slider is 0-100 but isn't as precise as I'd like, esp if the clip is long, they would eventually go out of rhythm. thanks.

Hi my polygon is stuck in one position and wont move with my mixamo joints, i was wondering if you could let me know how to fix this please? it initially did work but since then its stopped in one position and wont move. They're also both bound together, i deleted the bind and did another bind and it still wont work, hope you reply thanks!
Is there any way to bake the IK dynamics of a ponytail or some tentacles into keyframes? the Dynamics menu of the IK tag doesn't have a cache option and I need to bake it to make the animation in slow motion as the time scale for the dynamics in the project menu (ctril+D) doesn't seems to affect it neither. I really need your help with this one! Any advice would be fantastic!

Here is what I did: first copy your cloner into a new project and there with any object in the cloner do the keyframe stuff then copy the cloner and paste it in the original and put the polygon object into its properties. Also don't forget the load order :)

hii:) great tutorial but i have one problem. when i change orders and stuff...the spheres sticks to the character but not moving with the hands and the legs,only sticking with the body how can i fix this?
May I ask you are using Wacom tablet or mouse in c4d? If tablet then what is best setup you suggest? I am using mouse now and I found annoying to pan zoom etc..
OK , solve it. For Windows : its the same as CTRL. But in this case if you select mixamorig with ctrl only it will select only hips. You need to select Mixamorig and CTRL +A for select it all. It will select polygon aswell . and then go to Carácter , commands , BIND.

Hi Nick thanks for the tutorial. Just wondering if you could describe or demo how you would merge 2 sets if motion capture data into one character. I am using Mixamo and cannot figure out how to have same character move from one set of motion into another.
These tutorials are gold! :) I only have a question: When rendering the final animation it looks like the first cloner object (the body) doesn't get the simulation tag properly on the very first frame. All the spheres intersect one inside the other (like they were without the rigid body tag) only for the 1st frame. 2nd frame and on, they look good. Is there a way to fix it? I could render from frame 2 but that sounds like not the most proper solution.
Hi Nick, Cloner properties seems to be disabled when i try to add cloner to the sphere. Although it works well when go to a new scene/project without motion capture file. can you help ?
