The thing about rigging land drops is definitely true. If you play long enough, you can start to predict. "I've been winning. He's down. Enter 4 land drops in a row while my opponent gets to come back and win."

To whom it may concern: This is not an argument that Arena is rigged, but merely a testament to the possibility. Rigging draws in arena is like a spring-assisted-opening pocket knife. Assistance doesn't do it for you, but it helps. It is meant to feel like RNG, and, yes, AI tech in the world, such as Silvia, is pretty advanced. I mean if someone was paying me to come up with ideas to rig a relatively simple card game ON A COMPUTER I feel like that programmers could implement them. Keep in mind this game went through an open-beta phase where who knows what could have been tested. But I digress, let's try it for free: In order to rig draws it could potentially be as simple as assigning certain values to the cards in the programming as well as if/then statements related to the deck library and board-state. IF Player (A) has 3 consecutive wins THEN evil rigging scam activates. IF Player (A)'s board-state registers Liliana, Dreadhorde General with X > or = 7, a nice and easy-for-computers-to-work-with-number, loyalty counters THEN IF Player (B) has "Removal" for "Planeswalker" OR "nonland permanent" THEN Player (B)'s library FINDS "removal" "nonland permanent" in library and puts that card at or near the top based off of a different -feels random- algorithm or straight up draws it. Try it with friends and paper cards if either of those are things to whom this concerns may have. Shuffle your deck and play a match while outside friend-kun looks at your library and tampers with the deck - randomly putting a card you really could use at or close to the top of the deck. Document your results. That's not even counting land draw functions. The values for the computer to search for ARE ALREADY INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM and if you want to test neat feature of MTGA this there is a separate, albeit possibly related for the sake of argument, search feature that lets you search for specific card text, including flavor text. If your starting life total is 20 and begins to decrease based on a bunch of arbitrary creature powers that are on a board a computer could calculate the rate at which that health is dropping mathly just as a human could, and probably without thinking as much. The only thing that it couldn't compensate for is humans playing the deck they specifically put together with their humanness, BUT that is why it is still a game for humans! The programming isn't going to drop lands for you if you DC and the spring in the pocket knife isn't going to poke anything by itself, that's for us to do! All that aside, in a standard deck of 52 playing cards, the amount of different orders the cards can be placed in is bizarrely, unfathomably high. In order for a person to shuffle their deck of cards enough to the point theyve achieved every single possibly combination of cards they would have to... well they can't. Just not happenin. BUT if you remove the suits and just have 4 1s and 4 2s and 4 3s and perhaps just 2 4s etc then the odds of DRAWING certain things, such as in MTG, becomes much much more tolerable and even still there are still tutoring cards. Nonetheless out of all the people playing right now there is going to be, perhaps as I'm typing this, a poor motherfucker who has 7 lands in their opening hand. Lot of players. Lot of shuffling. Lots of possibilities. Indie development company lol

I made a deck for the purpose of losing. It only had randomly picked multicolored cards and had 5 lands (1 for each basic land type)

On the topic of drafting, I don't believe you. I only got 7 wins once, and that was an Eldraine draft where I made a selesnya adventure deck. My first draft was an M20 draft, and I did awful at it.

Here's the thing... This is the first season where I didn't get me a "battle pass". The reason why is, if you buy a battle pass all you're doing is giving wizards money so you have a forced reason to log in and play every day. That is not how it should work. And since I don't have a pass I don't play for 2-3 days then I play a few games when I feel like it and so on... and it feels great. The entire battle pass, and the game, is built around the "fear of missing out". And I'm having none of it...

Could someone help me out and tell me why Silverwing Squadron is a bad card? I have an idea why but I'd like to hear the thought process because it was never discussed in the video; also so I can use it for determining the value of cards in the future

If MTG is just a game of random, why would you get upset losing? The game WANTS you to lose, what can you do?

For the mastery pass they alrdy change the amount of gems you need to lvlup one rank on it. The first one was about 200gems, and a bunch of lvl give you 200gems so it's a freelvl ... i used it a lot like that ... and since the second mastery with eldrain, the level up cost is 250gems, .. there is plenty of little shit they doing like little snake to slow down and give you frustration. Freemium business model is not born with this program. Btw about the shuffler, this is not the algorythm of MTGA, it's the algorithm of Magic Duels reworked, with the same problem. The stacking cards problem ... I played several hundred, maybe a little more of one thousand hours on it, and pretty the same amount with mtga ... it's almost the same game ... mtga is magic duels 2.0 with freemium business model. Play the other game if its still possible you will see by yourself.

That deck yesterday must have hurt your soul, because your still ranting about it. Listen, it’s not that it’s not a viable deck, but that particular Bolas’s Citidel deck was obviously the “Deck of Many Things” deck of MTG. You just couldn’t help yourself and it was hilarious. Drawing yourself to oblivion consistently thinking, “this is the one that brings it back”.

Companies have hired some pretty idiotic CEOs that made decisions that they thought would increase profits only to destroy the company. Okey this isn’t so much of a deck as a challenge. Get The Citadel down and also Syr Conrad plus ten creatures to sacrifice so you double up and pop for twenty. I realize twenty damage is like a candy bar compared to what you have accomplished it’s just something funny I’d like to see.

Oath of kaya is pretty good in a citadel deck. Ayara is better than orator in a citadel Gary deck. But u wanted weaker cards to add green ramp. Woe Strider is better than doom whisperer so you don't have to pay life for scry and start at 5 life... But woe strider only scrys 1... Wrong! You have as many creatures as lands so do the math. Land on top? Sac the token. Play something. Sac played card if there's a land on top. You sac fenlurkers/basilica cards and their significant on discard is that opponent is top decking as you play citadel making it highly unlikely their top card is better than your top 4 or even untapping full Mana with citadel in play. Or that you haven't minimized hand/board. Could not acknowledge that charming prince can find lands early on to get to citadel. That pretty much every creature in the deck has an etb effects. Watched exact deck I mentioned go 5-0 while yours went 0-5. Some of it was unlucky, but that doesn't mean you should claim you're never wrong. Value City: play Fenlurker for 2. They discard some card. Play prince exiling Fenlurker. They discard 2. Block with Fenlurker and sac it with strider for scry... Effectively 4 Mana to opponent discards 2, scry 2 and prevent damage from their strongest creature. But yeah man ramping to doom is better so u start at 5 life. Seriously man. Just try it. Search "orzhov Gray Citadel" and tell me that abzan is better

Ok, games with gems & coins it’s like casinos, so yes it is totally normal to try to rig and encourage people to spend more money. I won’t say you’re wrong there. But! I don’t think A.I. programming is good enough in the *world* never mind in-house Wizards, nobody has the programming to beat people in magic, not yet... if they can’t beat people, how do they know which cards are needed or not to rig the draws? I don’t know if the gaming commission is involved in arena, not sure if there’s money prizes or just you win an “invitation” to win money, so possibly draft packs could be rigged, I mean they’re actively developing the bots to draft better, that’s the same as giving you worse cards on purpose, right? So maybe it’s learning how to rig bo1 draws, who knows...
