I'm more comfortable that way too. I know the knitting actually grows in the up direction when you start, but I don't like feeling assaulted by the piece coming at me. Back off, buddy! "I'm not an animal. I just knit inside-out."
I have a crazy thing going on with my hat I am knitting in the round. It's as you say, but the working yarn is on the wrong needle... I had to unravel it and then I put it all back on the magic needles but I can't figure out why the working yarn is on the left needle... what have I done!? (or am I being daft... most likely!) Also, related to this, do I have to reverse the pattern (i.e. purl when it says knit or knit when it says purl) if my pattern requires knit a row then purl a row..?
@@jencl3863 No problem! Yes I had started knitting the wrong way round, so the hat had slipped through the circular needles and I didn't realise!! Thanks for getting back to me! 🥰
