Glad to see I'm not the only one that mows like this....in my back yard I do half circles every other mow...it's fun and a time saver for sure. Excellent job!
My mower does this without changing directions the deck is so crooked it leaves a natural strip.HAHAHAHA!!!!! Nice looking job enjoyed the video. Have a nice DAY everyone.
Well done! I currently lay some very nice straight stripes and checkered. My only hurdle for this is I have a E100. I am getting a X384 and will then have the turning capability I need for something similar to this! Thank you for the the example!
I really like the pattern. If you did same rings or similar pattern around a pond or perhaps follow contour of it, would look like ripples radiating out from it. Would be an interesting dramatic effect I think! You'll be running rings around the competition with such artistic blending concepts!
I tried this once in a customers backyard and a mean barn swallow started diving at me full speed and would not quit for about a half hour! It cracked me up cause it kept going round and round I thought the bird would eventually get dizzy...maybe it did cause it went away finally thank god!
Actually Shawn, birds do not get dizzy due to the nature of their inner ear. Birds have been a large part of my life and I like to give back whenever I can. To the birds.
For the folks that say they don't have the time to mow this pattern, think about it. As long as you don't take any longer keeping your mower "on your line", you're turning around less often vs. traditional back and forth mowing. Just a thought....
to be fair, straight line mowing after making a perimeter pass is the fastest way.. it's been tested by all the big companies.. that's why you see stripes everywhere.. on the circle, you end up going over the same grass repeatedly to continue it..and you still have the triangles at the sides that didnt get cut .. either way, when you're push mowing, especially in thick grass, with a roll bar at that, it's a chore either way.. might as well get the most out of it .. i have a walk behind 48 with a sulky attachment..its fun mowing my yard so I just make diamonds and checkers while I'm playing lol
That’s called striping. The color comes from the way the grass is facing you. Always is dark while towards you is light. When you look opposite direction if a single line that is striped it will change color
I have been doing lawn care 20+ years its not good for a lawn to mow the same pattern every time you need to change your pattern weekly or you will kill the grass where your tires ride constantly
Tying the mower to a tree and letting it go does not create the beautiful back n forth striping like this!!!!!! It's just a little more effort for these exceptional results! Honestly, laziness is what's wrong with people these days! No motivation or determination!
