Circumnavigating the Hawaiian Islands
At this 2010 February eaH meeting, Bill Leary talked his 2007 sailing trip around all the Hawaiian Islands. It took one month, traveling counterclockwise around all the islands on his 35-foot sailboat starting in Kaneohe to Kauai, Niihau, Big Island, Maui, Lanai, and Molokai. Bill showed us his secret spots that can only be seen by boat and provides a water level view of all the islands rarely seen by tourists and even most Hawaiians! In all his world sailing, Bill considers the most picturesque view to be of the first 10 miles of the north shore of Molokai Island.
