No other cops were prosecuted for obstruction or destruction of evidence. The mailbox thief was never identified. Lots of corrupt cops were allowed to quietly retire or remain in the police department. HPD is rotten to the core.

(A Civil War Gunboat in Pacific Waters) I will try to send an email by different methods... I would be happy to buy directly from you.

Wow! The 🗑️ Trash!😢 Never even considered that until I just saw it... Thats terrible just how much 💩 we dump in the ocean .. Nuclear Waste is about the most Unbelievable because it does not Dilute it spreads .. I couldn't believe just how Severe our waste has resulted in Deformities , tumors, etc .. I don't think we quite have an accurate Grasp on exactly how much pollution we are dumping into our oceans every day. if you consider how many derelict oil wells are exposed on Soil?! How much more concerned do we think they are with ones 2 miles deep that no one can inspect?!

The chain of events involving the Ward are quite interesting and not well known to casual readers of WW2 history. As for exactly when WW2 began and the first US shots were fired in that war is also an interesting subject with some disagreement. An argument can be made that WW2 was actually just a continuation of WW1. Setting that discussion aside, others date the "hot" (combat) start of WW2 to Japan's invasion of Manchuria following the Mukden Incident in 1931. That set off a chain of events and continual combat in Asia though 1945. Those events included Japan's follow-up invasion of China in 1937, the US embargo and repositioning of the Pacific Fleet to Pearl Harbor in response to Japan's ongoing aggression, and Japan's attack on Pearl in Dec '41. As for Japanese air attack on the US Navy prior to the declaration of war, the argument could then be made that actual first US shots of WW2 were fired during Japan's Dec. 1937 bombing and strafing of the USS Panay and the three Standard Oil Co. tankers it was escorting. The Panay's crew fired back, but the Panay and the three tankers were sunk with the loss of three American lives and over 40 wounded. Two British gunboats in the area were also bombed by the Japanese during the attack but no hits were scored.

This is the actual digitized copy of the handwritten log, as kept on the bridge of Lexington. USS-Ranger.org/Misc_Logs/Lexington-CV-2-1942-05.pdf I am also acquiring other logs as available for USS Enterprise (CV-6) and USS Yorktown (CV-5) for the month of June, 1942. I will see if logs for USS Wasp (CV-7) and USS Hornet (CV-8).

My family home was on Dillingham Blvd. next to the railroad spur that delivered cattle to the slaughterhouse. In 1939, we moved to Kalihi Kai next to the main railroad line at Puuhale Road. I left Hawaii in 1953, but my whole life in Hawaii was spent next to the railroad tracks.

Its great that the island is preserved and Hawaiians can preserve their culture this way, but i have heard a few problems now. One being that that the population is declining because the younger population feels limited and then leaves. Its also concerning that if a Native from the island wishes to marry an outsider - they must leave. That feels wrong. It also doesnt encourage enough variety in their gene pool. I think some rules for preservation are great, but a lot of this doesnt sound sustainable for the Natives on the island. Eventually they will die out or leave. Then what? Its just another private empty island owned by non natives - not contributing to preserving Hawaiian culture at all.

? What happened to the Americans? Before, a proud, God-loving, prosperous, intelligent and hard-working people. They were the best. The best civilization, the best culture, the best citizens. They were the best. Today they are a people with guilt. They are insulted, violated and murdered by all the resentful people in the world. Their sons are threatened with death and their daughters are raped and forced into prostitution. To make matters worse, they are forced to give them money and feed all those foreigners and minorities who insult them and wish them harm. White women hate white men. They have children with black people but then they demand that those white men feed the children of black people and the perverts force decent people to submit to their filth. Now everyone is immersed in the misery of the third world and everyone wants to be socialists and perverts. The socialists could not defeat the American people on the battlefield, but they have destroyed them by corrupting young people, women, minorities and politicians. The Americans were the best. Now I do not understand. What happened to the Americans?

My father was plank owner of the USS Crosby, APD 17. The picture of the Ward on fire was taken from the Crosby. "USS Ward (APD-16) burning in Ormoc Bay, Leyte, Philippine Islands, after she was hit by a Kamikaze, 7 December 1944. USS O'Brien (DD-725) is fighting fires from alongside, as landing craft circle to rescue survivors. Photographed from USS Crosby (APD-17).US National Archives photo # 80-G-335685 from the collections of the US Naval History and Heritage Command."

Lots of holes in the narrative here. If there truly was a plague and that is the reason for burning the buildings, why are there groups of people standing together watching the buildings burn? If the plague was so bad, you'd think people would not do that and know better -- isolate. I think there is another story here... land grab, removal of old world buildings to fit the new narrative? Why are there great fires in every city? Does brick and stone burn? It all does not add up once you start thinking about it critically under a non-mainstream lens.

Lovely and informative video. My Mother-in-law was an educator and had an insatiable interest in anything that had to do with different cultures. She especially loved Hawaii. She left a very small collection of Ni' Ihau jewelry (which I know nothing about), and that is what let me to this video. Thank you for keeping it alive! Much appreciation for Alan.

That was very interesting. Thank you! Nearly 70 years ago I read "the Wreck of the Saginaw", young enough that I don't remember anything but being excited to read about marooned sailors. My grandfather had been on an early North Pole expedition (Fiala 1902, marooned just short of the goal for two years. Nobody died, nobody ate the dogs. I live near Vallejo, and have been to the museum up there. Time for another visit and to salute the Saginaw!

Personally, I’m very skeptical that the Spanish ever discovered Hawaii. I can understand that they might want to keep such a discovery secret, but I find it incomprehensible that they wouldn’t make the only land in such a vast area of the ocean into a regular stop for replenishment and repair.
