Yes. $100 million would be a good start for the casino, midway and restaurants. Another $100 million for the rooms. Still not sure if that would be enough.
@@theclueguy3388 I know it's not a luxury hotel but the property is really, really dated and run down. $25 million isn't really that much when you're talking about renovating 3,700+ rooms with paint, flooring, new furniture, updated bathrooms, etc. That's not even including the rest of the property.
Circus Circus is an icon on the strip.... I hope someone doesn't try tearing it down... I think that's the big mistake on the strip.... they've torn down icons and landmarks that made Las Vegas and made it unrecognizable
The owner took over the property in 2019 and now four years later, he is doing renovations. He knows to step it up because changes are coming at that end of the strip.
YUP! My mom worked there as a blackjack dealer and the shit I heard/experienced...$25million but can't pay their staff a living wage or help them when they're injured/sick
Back in February of 2006 my family and i first moved to Las Vegas we stayed at circus circus it was fun my sister and i was only in middle school at the time we had fun there even went to new york new york m&m world met some wonderful friends and got our first dog there in over 2 years
@@axelfoley1406 absolutely. But I can tell you that they would bring in more money if they did! I visit Vegas twice every year and the last time I visited Circus Circus was in 2014! I won’t even step inside that place. You be surprised how much aesthetics mean to some people.
Midway games used to be pretty cheap, and the price given away is responsible. After new owners, the price went way up, and the games price was worse. And the taking away all good arcade games.
Still my favorite hotel in Vegas lol but the last time I was there it was like goin to a swap meet but the Adventuredome Was still lit took my kids and showed them my 1st roller coaster
That looks like their 4th or 5th VP 😂 Basically they dropped 12 on the elevator a couple more millions on the entrance and the rest will go to the stupid ride 😂
Circus Circus needs to be renovated, I remember going to Vegas for the very first time on my 21st birthday. I noticed that Circus Circus felt so dead inside.
They are putting real axes for axe throwing? Bruh, with how random acts of violence going on in this world, all it takes is for someone to be mental playing that axe throwing game. Put fake ones in, like they have been.
@DE-vs2xy no family place has real throwing axes. I went to the Horseshoe Arcade, no real ones there. Went to Dave and Busters, no real ones again. So lmk where in Vegas I can find these family centers with real axes.
I didn't see anything mentioned about renovating all the dreadful rooms. Anyway, if you're on a budget and can keep your eyes closed, go ahead and stay.
I've been telling people for YEARS... whenever I heard someone groping about how bad Circus Circus was/is and how it should be torn down. I'd say "NO WAY, now the Resorts World is here and The Strat and Sahara were updated... Circus Circus just needs a little TLC and is going to be renovated and be better than EVER!!!" Finally its going down. That end of the strip is going to be MONEY!!
Good idea for the SpongeBob ride and new elevators. Families are their bread and butter so go the universal studios route indoors. Rebuild the RV PARK and that creepy motel next door. Maybe add a Waterpark too.
Of the $25 million, 12 went to elevators? They gonna need a lot more than that for renovations. Maybe they want to see some type of ROI before spending more. It's been years since I've been there, but it was pretty rundown when I was there; just wasn't part of the strip people were going to anymore.
I don't know if they've done this already since it's been a few years since I've been inside Circus Circus but I hope they get some fresh air filters. If I hear about them getting some air filters I'll likely stop by, it's the only thing that kept me out of there in the past.
From what im seeing so far, I'm glad they kept some of that nostalgic look from Circus Circus I had as a kid while remodeling some parts for modern times. Stephen Hillenburg is smiling from the heavens that a Spongebob ride is in the works.
Circus Circus was the first hotel I visited when we moved to Vegas back in 1992, when the buffet was like less than $4 or something like that, and much better food. ❤🤡🎪

$25M, and half went to elevators? Something tells me nobody is going to notice a dang thing. Circus Circus is iconic, but the location is crud and the hotel is gross. Waste of $25M, sorry guys.
My Favorite Hotel since I was a kid my Uncle's Friend Built it remember going on the catwalks with the owner's daughter and playing with Tanya the Elephant !! Fond Memories
I like the retro look I remember circus circus and pickadilly arcades. Am glad the new owner has a vision of family friendly entertainment. Looks great and blessing 🙏 for the renovation.
They are addressing the commercial first because what’s the point of an upgraded room with no amenities. It is a smart business move.. also you need income to upkeep the property so if they make themselves a kid friendly destination they could corner a market in an adult centered city. Then once its profitable they can start upgrading the rooms block by block and being come successful. Great plan.
