This video is from my Cirque of the Towers to Fremont trail loop backpacking trip in late September, 2022 in the Wind River Range, WY.
00:00:26 Beautiful drive
00:01:50 Day 1: The adventure begins!
00:03:50 Opening up to great views!
00:14:24 Arrived at Shadow Lake
00:17:47 Day 2: Shadow Lake to Lonesome Lake
00:25:55 Texas Pass
00:34:06 Cirque of the Towers campsite
00:37:35 Day 3: Last day on trail :(
00:40:44 Beautiful Turquoise Glacial Lake
00:43:29 Jackass Pass
00:53:14 Awesome dispersed campsite
00:54:50 Day 4: Headed home…
This place… just wow! Such an amazing experience! Hiked just about 30 miles total with about 4,500’ of elevation gain in 3 days and spent the most incredible 2 nights amongst the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. This hike just constantly rewards you with better and better views and needs to go on every backpacker’s bucket list!
I also found a great dispersed campsite to do some van camping at on my last night that was only about a mile or two from the trailhead. This place is incredibly beautiful and I would probably say this is my favorite mountain range that I have visited. I will DEFINITELY be going back!

Hey, thank you so much! To be completely honest, I burnt myself out a little bit last year and have been enjoying a break from editing, but I’ll be back at it soon! I still have a few videos to edit and I have some awesome trips planned this year! Thanks so much for the support and kind words! 😊

I've seen a gazillion videos and this one is one of the best ones (top 5 for sure) I've ever seen. The amount of milage you accumulated (setting up cameras to give us viewers a sense of the hike) must have been between 1 and 2 miles. Loved every second of this video! Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much for this video. I have scoured you tube looking for trail hiking without annoying music that drowns out all sounds of nature, incessant yacking, and cameras primarily focused on the vloggers instead of the incredible views. Subscribed 😊😊

Our trip was complicated. The rain was unbearable & my son got altitude sickness bad. We only made it to Marms lake but it was amazing in a way. I had myself pumped to a point I'm obviously disappointed. On the other hand I don't hike to make others uncomfortable & am blessed for the experience. Learned a couple lessons & those peaks will be there next year. Enjoy your trip & look forward to yhe video. It will help me through the winter

Whoa, I loved this trek - first time ever seeing anything on it. That climb up the boulders to Texas Pass, I swear I felt the altitude sickness coming on. 😅 This trail has everything a person could want. Amazing camera work and editing as well, you put in some serious miles on this one and captured some paradise...and it shows. Well done and THX for posting it up!

I did this same clockwise loop the last weekend of August (2022). First night was at Dad’s (late start). Next year will push on to Billy’s Lake for night one and tackle Texas on fresh legs (wind was brutal when I went up and over). Nice camera work - stay safe

@@ManivanAdventures The year before I went up by the Green River lakes and Peak Lake and it was just as beautiful. It was an adventure for sure but not enough to keep me away.

I can actually shoot in 4k with what I have too, but it just takes up so much storage space, so I just shoot in 1080p and 60fps. I can’t wait to go back to explore more of the Winds. Beautiful place! @@ManivanAdventures thanks! Great video man. Thanks for filming and sharing our adventure. I know filming these add a lot of extra footsteps to your journey. Beautifully captured. Was one side of Texas pass “easier” than the other? We were considering going counter clockwise due to time restrictions. But going down they way you went up seems like it will be tougher than climbing it. Thoughts?
@ManivanAdventures
@ManivanAdventures Год назад
@tonymath I would say if you go counter clockwise, going down Texas Pass might be a little sleep and slippery, but if you have trekking poles and there is no snow/ice on the trail, I don’t see it being too much of a problem. Going up seemed like it would be a bit easier going counterclockwise too, as it is definitely steeper on the other side, BUT then again, it is still quite steep and you gain almost twice the elevation from that side, so it is hard to say which way is easier. I think either way will get your heart thumpin’, but if you just take your time, it isn’t as bad as it seems. I would have to suggest clockwise based on my experience, but I don’t think you can go wrong out here. Just incredible scenery at every turn! And thank you for the kind words! It’s definitely worth adding some extra milage to capture these amazing places the way I want to!
@ManivanAdventures
@ManivanAdventures Год назад
@@ematherne11 After looking at the map again, it looks like you gain elevation much quicker for the loop as a whole going counterclockwise, so I think the trail will be more difficult that way in general. Hope this helps!
