I love Cirrus aircraft, just not the pricing. So, Vans RV10 with "like" dual side-stick control feature. Most excellent video, as usual! Happy/Safe Flying!🙏🇺🇸👍 p.s. Bobby, I see your utilizing CG again on landing footage.

I wonder if Cessna will ever get on board with intergrating the propeller pitch with the throttle like Cirrus has?. Another 1960 Cessna technology still present in 2018

Meh. You touch it once for takeoff, once for cruise and once more for landing. It’s just not that hard to manage. Lots of other things I’d rather see them modernize first.

Bobbie. Can you do a review on a Skydiving Airplane used in the Skydiving business (King Air, Twin Otter, Caravan, Porter, Pac 750...) and Laura can do a Tandem at the same time? Interview the pilot on what it's like to fly up and down as quickly as possible?

There have been over 80 CAPS parachute deployments. There have definitely been some where a pilot got into a bad situation like spatial disorientation. There have also been deployments due to mechanical failures (mostly engine failures, but also at least one case of a failure of a control surface). There have been at least two deployments due to midairs that I know of. In every case where CAPS was used within its speed and altitude parameters, everyone has survived, and a number of planes have actually been repaired and are flying again. On a personal flight, I wouldn't fly with the cover on the parachute handle as shown in this video. Creates an extra step in case you need to deploy. But, perhaps on a 135 flight with passengers, it's a different story.
@Parker-di7ef

Mike Kobb Can you imagine a passenger thinking it was grab handle to readjust the seating? What a bad day that’d be!

@thunderfromdownunda
@thunderfromdownunda 3 года назад
Cirrus SOP is to remove the chute cover and pull the pin before you're in the air. There is at least one fatal cirrus crash where the pin was found to be still engaged in the CAPS handle.

Fun experience in a really cool aircraft. Question: does it have air conditioning? You guys looked kind of sweaty!
@joephysics5469
@joephysics5469 5 лет назад
AC adds weight, cost and takes power. One only needs it on the ground. Just taxi with the door(s) open to keep from roasting. Once at altitude the air is cool and adjusting the cabin air intake vents regulates the inside temp.

@par5eagles975 5 лет назад
@@FlyingDoodles Not trying to suggest you were... though maybe you should have been for this one. My recommendation is you stick to personally owned airplanes... you lose something when you start doing advertising for companies like this. It just feels a bit.... ecchhh. There are a ton of cirrus owners out there who'd love to show off their bird. It's your choice, obviously, but there are a lot of channels that do this kind of content, like AvWeb. I thought the Cherokee 235 video was amazing, someone whose only motive is to show off an airplane they are justifiably proud of. Fresh and wonderful! Keep up the good work!

@@par5eagles975 Not trying to start an argument but it takes a lot of work and time to edit a video like this one. Plus the cost of equipment and software. Flight to the location... etc
