Cirrus Vision Jet FULL FLIGHT: Autothrottles, stalls, steep turns, RNAV & more!

You are blessed to be flying with Mutt. He was my ground instructor for my initial and we both flew in the Air Force. He is by far a top notch pilot. The best mentor pilot out there!

Thanks for a terrific video that actually _showed_ us something of how the Vision Jet works for the pilot rather than being nothing more than the usual "Wow Cirrus is great" blather. Truly an excellent little ship and some really clear thinking has gone into making the systems work for the pilot rather than so many systems requiring constant attention. Cirrus you did DO GREAT, I want one!

I've been flying GA for 30 years but I can't even imagine the knowledge required to thoroughly understand this aircraft and be able to fly it safely. I learned some time ago there are many people in this world a lot smarter than I am....

Imagine time warping this jet back to the Wright brothers and showing them all the systems ? Obviously no runways and GPS, jet fuel, ATC etc but hay humanity would look at it as a UFO I would think. Beautiful aircraft.

I salute the Col. (assumption) for his dedicated service flying the meanest single seat fighter in the world. I was a 32436C avionics technician in the USAF back in the early 80's.

Wow. I’m not a pilot but have flown hundreds of times as a skydiver and flown with my friends who are pilots. Flown in private jets to sea planes. As being an executive protection agent my job had me in all kids of aircraft flying all over the world. This video of the demoing the Cirrus Vision Jet was very exciting. Well done. Can’t wait till I’ll be able to ride in one. Hopefully soon!

Until watching this, I had misgivings about the Vision Jet. COMPLETELY changed my mind!

When I first saw this aircraft, some years ago, I thought it was the SEXIEST aircraft I had ever seen! You guys have shown us that the Vision Jet is also a super modern and safe aircraft capable of high performance with comparably good economy. Amazing!

Whilst I do not see the value in such a tight super expensive small jet with just one donk it is an amazing platform!

The flight control software is absolutely nuts what this bird can do. I like how it does safe returns.

@11:19 "Keep the Nose Down", very very important in any aircraft, especially at low altitude, and watch airspeed like a Hawk.

Sweet ride, it's a long way from the old Cessna 150 back in 1970. Wow, pressurized too. I'm 74 in bad health, couldn't pass the physical, but damn what dream to fly this plane.

Love the VisionJet. One of my favorite aircraft to fly in FS2020.

This was a fun watch. And what a beautifully designed little jet. It seems luxurious, comfortable and safe. And man that's actually quite a gigantic TV for such a tiny space.

That panel is really something. I got my license back in 1975 and this sort of thing wasn’t even imagined. Pretty cool.

Flying a Vision Jet and with Mutt, Epic!!

This aircraft used to fly for VeriJet out of Vero beach Florida, whom I used to work for. I have many hours flying this exact vision jet!

A F-150 air vents…. Safe return is just crazy. Hell if DJI can get a drone to land on a 2x2 mat on the ground by itself, how hard can it be for a jet. As a former pilot this looks just too easy to fly. Cirrus just makes such safe aircraft. The parachute, the auto return. Crazy safe. The hard part is the Garmin.

1:43 - parking brake - Manual 5-speed with a clutch, or automatic "PRNDL"...?

Years ago when we flew with steam gauges and not automation, I remember the Falcon 10 I used to fly amongst others...back then we had this little flight test maneuver that was required to get type rated and we called it the FAA waltz...under the hood to get a certificate one needed to set an altitude like 16,500 and if you went above or under that alt you busted the rid. So to start then set a primary heading and started a turn to the left or right at 250kts between two headings 0 to 60 and back to 0 and back to 60 etc. (hence the term waltz)...so 250 Kts, and Turing at 15 degrees and pulling back on the power while still going back and forth in a 45 degree turn...naturally as you lost lift you added power, then as you came back around to the level you would have to pull the power back to not exceed the original airspeed and reserves the turn and repeat still the same airspeed...then pull the power back while still keeping the turns going and maintaining alt...when slow enough add flats until it stalled still doing the turns, add power to recover without losing any alt, keep the turning going and do not exceed 10 kts from the stall...then pull the power back and repeat until you get to full flaps and gear still Turing back and forth final stall and recover back to 250kts again plus of minus 100 ft...not sure it is still required or required in the plane....but if you want to see how well you are coronated and what your instrument sills, are, give it a try...and loses the TV screens and get two engines...

I enjoy your channel. I am very comfortable with women in a previously male dominated expertise. My wife and daughter are premiere educators. I am 78 and my mother had a BS degree and was researching jet fuels in the last 2 years of WW2 and my sister is a prominent lawyer ( I am retired but was a locally prominent trial lawyer ). I owned and built and maintained a sprint car and the care and detail are necessary and one's life is dependent. My car could reach 100mph on a 3/8 mile track and a bit over 150 on a 1/2 mile. A very nice site

The range is the issue with the Vision Jet. It just doesn’t work for my missions. Today, I flew from KGTU (Georgetown, TX, near Austin) to my base in Long Beach, CA. The trip was 1,080 nmi. against the wind and I landed with over two hours of fuel. This trip length is very common for me. In the Vision Jet it would require a fuel stop. Admittedly, my airplane isn’t nearly as sophisticated, but range is very important and, as a side benefit, I paid something like a quarter of the cost of a Vision Jet. Cirrus has designed and produced an amazing, state of the art and beyond airplane, but its mission capabilities are limited.

Outstanding video. The SF50 and really Cirrus as a whole, is a game changer in aviation.

100% WOW!! I'm not even a pilot, but I dearly love watching recorded flights...and yours gets my Gold Star Award all the way around. My teenage nephew recently bought his own King Air, an upgrade from his twin engine plane (can't remember the model) and I look forward to flying with him. After all, we're best buddies, so he's itching to fly from Sherman, TX over here to Tupelo, MS so we can go bust through some clouds. 🙂 Thanks for a thrilling watch today. I think Cirrus Vision Jet is the most amazing general aviation jet ever created. Only wish it would be a twin engine 😃 The views when flying it is alone amazing which makes it great for visuals and hand flying too.

I have thurly enjoyed this trimendous video, I've always been interested in planes wither small or big, but apart from that, to watch the pilot working in the pilots seat with all these components is away beyond me , l suppose it all comes naturally, but as I said I have thurly enjoyed the video and the flight, so a huge thank you to the person who made this trimendous video.

Wow! I’m not a pilot, would love to learn and should I hit the big jackpot lottery, I will definitely want to buy one of these after getting my license/wings. It appears to be all measures a very comfortable & safe plane to fly due to all of its safety features, particularly the parachute. Super video demonstration.

With Garmin car gps devices you have to remove them and hook them up to a computer with a cable to update maps and software. Brilliant.

Great video! However It would have been better to show a close-up of the PFD during the steep turns and the approach and landing. For some reason the aviation RU-vidrs seem to think that wide/panoramic views are what the viewers want. Many of the viewers are pilots and we want to see the instrumentation at work. The instructor did an excellent job with his narrative so it would have been more informative to see the aircraft’s actual pitch and airspeed information displayed on the PFD. Granted, when the aviation RU-vid’s started to get hot and heavy about 4-5 years ago it was cool to show a lot of footage out the windows. The viewers are more knowledgeable now and we want to see more footage of the instrumentation during flight. Patrick
