The Chilcotin River slide is still flushing down and out through the Fraser River and the Thompson entering the Fraser has less sediment in its water....
@@robertsinclair9979 the spot where I was standing is actually a very popular location for people who want to take photos of trains over those two bridges. There is easy access. Thanks for watching
Beautiful footage Tony , what an iconic location in Canadian railroading and a remarkable achievement in engineering. It would be nice to sit there all day waiting for trains. Good video
@@MikeG42 Thanks Mike! it is a pretty interesting spot. They should put a park bench on that lookout. Although in the afternoon it gets way too hot to be sitting there, but it certainly is an amazing location.
As usual Tony you nailed this one bigtime. You missed the classic (power over and power under) by mere minutes. This result is just as good. The overhead visual of the connecting track at Cisco was pretty cool. Tank Hill was amazing as it shows the massive reconstruction. I still like the original alignment there but Mother Nature decided to change things. Once again, a top shelf production!
@@johnmcgarvie4061 thanks John, catching a perfect meet at Cisco would be cool to see but I will take this over nothing. I don’t know if Tank Hill will ever be rebuilt with an overpass there again.
Beautiful production flow, video quality and colour rendition. Audio quality is great (except for some, what sounds like 'audio compander pumping', that was so common back in AM radio days. It doesn't however, detract appreciably from the overall viewing experience of this simply spectacular production, but is simply an observation, and could have originated anywhere in the audio production chain). Thanks Tony V!
@@BruceMcLean-sr9ow thank you I normally have a better audio feed on that. It was coming directly off of my action camera not my good camera because it was so hot. I didn’t want to grab and drag all of my gear to that lookout.
Thanks for sharing and all your work, I certainly echo everyone else's thoughts here re the flying and the history. I like the south facing drone flying at the Cisco Bridges at approx the 7:43 minute mark.
Tony this is one of your best videos imho. Loved the drone chasing the tail end DPU of the coal train. Too bad about the gimbal of your drone. I’m hoping you can fix it soon. Please keep the videos coming. ❤
Thank you! DJI was amazing! when I shipped it to their Canadian repair depot they sent me a brand new drone (same model) free of charge!. They were more then impressed with the amount of flight time I had on it.
The most spectacular Cisco video ever. Fantastic view of the Tank Hill washout with that large burn area upstream. O f all the RR video I have watched this year this gets "The Video Of The Year Award". Thanks Tony.
@@MJohnny05 thank you yes, it was a beautiful area. I really love that area but it gets way too hot for me. I much prefer cooler weather. DJI gave me a brand new drone. They were so impressed with the amount of mileage that I put on the old one.
8 weeks is good to do that. takes months to do similar out here in uk. Risk assessments and health and safety and environmental issues all take time here. Our new high speed line has been in the plannings for 15 years and so far only a bit is going to be built, London to Birmingham and is not due to open till 2035. Caroline
An amazing view and meet down there! As for the dron view, do you need a license or permission, or where can I check that if I want to go and fly mine there?
If your drone is under 250grams then no license needed. But it is often very windy there so a larger drone such as mine is necessary and I have a license.
@@TonyVRailfanningI see that now. I went on Google maps with the satellite view. Great drone work and the Tank Hill project. Call me the next time you think you will head there again. I wouldn’t mind joining you for a day if it works out. Google maps satellite view still shows the Tank Hill bridge before the washout.
Love your vids but....the background music is annoying af! Reminds me of waiting on the phone for 40 minutes hearing, "all operators are busy at the moment, please continue to hold and a 'human' will make you wait another 20 minutes before they talk to you. " I know, I know, I could just mute it but is it even necessary? Coal trains and elevator music don't really mix. My beef for the day; thanks for listening.
I cant please everyone and the music I have to use must be copyright free or I dont get paid anything for my work. Your among the few who ever compline so most people have no issues with it
