Congrats Brendan! Been following your journey since day one. I also did a career change to IT 3 years ago. I had A+ and CCNA. I went from tech-supervisor at Staples to IT service Desk for the Navy, was able to attain a clearance. During my time at service desk I recently passed my SEC+, which really opened doors for me. 2 weeks ago I accepted a Network Admin position. Thanks for inspiring me brother and congrats again for all your success!

I'm not too apt to federal classifications but Google says that GS-14 is a pretty big deal. Great job, man. I'm not sure if you're documentation entails vlogging but I'd love to check out whatever you're willing to share. You and IPvDre are the reason why I'm pursuing a career in Networking Engineering (on the software side of things, developing drivers, firmware, and probably WebUIs if situation calls for it), so thanks for all that you do and good luck.

I was in the Army, was a 35P and worked in mostly NSA positions. I got out last year and recently got my Network+ cert. I'm going after my security + now. I have an interview for a network administrator journeyman that requires a TS clearance which I have. I say all that to say, I am really doubting myself as I don't have any experience, just this network cert. This will be my first IT job and I'm scared if I get hired I won't know a damn thing. ANY advice will really really help thanks brother
