IDK what's going on but CI has been paying me 5.06% for Jan and Feb this year. Maybe it's a glitch or they haven't updated their rates yet. Either way, I'll take it. lol
How long does it take for transfers from your external account to be available? I opened a CIT account about two weeks ago and made a transfer but the money still shows as not being available. The transaction posted after about a week I think, but the money is still unavailable and I couldn’t transfer it out if I wanted to. Is this the same for you?
I never noticed any issues with this on my account, but I just read they can put a hold on the transfers into CIt for up to 5 business days to prevent fraud. I believe you should still be earning interest on it, though.
@@BrittanyFlammerThanks for replying. 🙂. As of today, my balance is still 0. The transaction posted on May 7th so that would be 5 business days today. I made the transfer about a week before the 7th so the whole thing has taken quite a long time. Very odd.
@@BrittanyFlammer Just spoke to them and they said _every single transfer_ that’s initiated from CIT has a 5 business day hold. They’ll release the hold on my transfer at the end of the day tomorrow (which is 5 business days to them though it seems like 6) and the money will be available the day after tomorrow. This will be the case for every transfer I make unless I initiate the transfer from my external bank. Some info for your next video. Your videos are awesome btw 🙂
That does seem like a long time. I have never noticed it on my account, but since it wasn’t money I wanted to use right away I probably wasn’t paying much attention.
