Here's the newest images of the Warthog conversion! Some new additions: - 5 position weaver mount on the magazine extension tube (link in description) - 45 degree offset QD front sling mount (link in description) - Rear QD sling mount (link in description) - Weaver flashlight mount. I cannibalized this piece from my previous barrel mount. (Link in description) - Filled the gap behind the trigger guard with Sugru. www.sugru.com - Added a Docter Optics Reflex sight on the addon weaver rail. Rail link is in the description, the Docter sight I have had for a few decades. Link to the nicer Vortex model in the description. - New sling with HK hooks. Can be easily switched to a single point on the GG&G rear sling loop adapter. Found on Ebay for $10 - New charging handle from Typhoon Defense. This handle fits perfectly and stays put due to the retention tab. It lacks the side detent dimple, but 60 seconds with a dremel fixes that. (link in description) For those who care, the Typhoon handle weighs 14g vs the stock 10g. - What you can't see: All internal parts of the trigger group have been replaced with locally machined parts. @@KWC1974 No, it is just clamped on right now. I will probably drill & tap it at some point, but for now its just clamped. I haven't permanently attached it because I prefer to shoot down the barrel and rarely use the red dot.
Yup! Love my Warthog. I noticed some people have the same issue with ammo not ejecting. It AL has to do with the FPS of the ammo you are using. Mine came with a piece of paper that clearly said to use minimum 1300 FPS. This thing eats my 1450FPS and kicks like a mule. LOVE IT!
I shot some 1250 fps to test and it worked, but I could feel it kinda struggling. The 1100 ammo failed to eject as expected. Feed it good fast stuff and you will have no issues. When in doubt, RTFM
@@AMCITADEL Agreed. The only other thing I would like to find for this gun is a different stock. The plastic one just feels cheap to the point if I ever dropped the gun I feel like it would just break.
@@AMCITADEL So, I got the GrovTec Sling Swivel Stud Pack 7/8" Machine Screw with Nut, 3/4" Wood Screw. But, it doesn't appear that the wood screw included will fit in the screw hole where I removed the screw that holds the buttstock in. Just have to force it? Nevermind. I managed to get it in. Just have to force it a bit.
@@IAMRUSTEDROOT I just got the ATI T3 Tactical Stock installed on mine. The T3 installs on several guns but the Tristar Raptor fit perfectly. The lines down the spine and sides of the gun are perfect. The alignment at the trigger guard is a hair long. Only about 1/32" but not a problem. Several locations sell them online. Good luck!
@@joelsalazar5149 If you can return the charging handle you should. After about 80 rounds the handle no longer stays in place, it flies out. If you choose to keep it, I suggest fabricating a retention tab on it.
I had given up hope, until I came across this video. I was beginning to believe that the only thing you could do to a standard grip was the magazine extension. Thank you very much for this video.
@@pblackjac i bought the regular one, I don't know what the improved one is. EDIT: Someone here had an issue making theirs fit so maybe the improved one change something I am not sure
I read the oversized handle didn't work but how has the mag extension held up?? Any issues so with that?? Also have u had to replace the rubber O-Ring where the gas ports are on the barrel? I can see mine has cracked after about 400 rounds
Alright thank you for all the info. I just placed my order for one lol and hope I have no issues. That does suck the charging handle didn't work. I still might order one and do as u said and try to splice it. I liked the oversize look but hopfully it works
I think I'm going to have someone weld a bead on the Remington handle, then file it down to match the one on the stock one. I'm thinking that will work.
OMG... thank you so much for this video and your work finding compatible parts. I found a tactical stock that works. The ATI T3 works without modifications. It works with multiple platforms. Use the Tristar Raptor adapter. Thanks again for the videos!!!!
It came with a warning in the box not to use under 1300fps. I didn't see that until I opened the box and had bought a case of 1180fps #9 2.75 in low-brass shells. I have never had a misfire yet using the Mod choke it came with. Thanks for your videos on this weapon. I have learned a lot.
I've successfully fired some shells that were all the way down to 1100fps. I had a few FTE's (maybe 5 out of 50) but that was to be expected. I did break mine in with a hundred high velocity 1650fps buckshot and slugs though.
@@AMCITADEL This is my first shotgun and I have not put anything more powerful through it yet. In fact, it is so new I was watching your breakdown video tonight so I could clean up the mess from the first shells I ran through it. You were not lying about how hard it is to get the action (bolt) lever out. Vice Grips and a fulcrum had me thinking I was going to break it, so I did my best to clean it with the slide in place. My homie has a similar model and I am going to wait for the full breakdown till I can get with him, for confidence. Again thanks for the videos. I have the semi-auto model and man is that fun to shoot. I am taking clays to the range this weekend for the first time ever and I know I am going to be able to break them. The only problem I've had was right out of the box. I put 6 shells through it and the front sight popped off. A range ninja had the right hex drivers to put it back on. After 19 shells, it popped off again. At that point, I also noticed the top rail was sliding off toward the back, so I quite shooting it for the day. I bought blue Loctite for the sight, and purple for the top rail, and locked all that down. I was then able to put about 40 rounds through it last weekend with no problems at all, despite the under-loaded shells I mentioned earlier. I really like this weapon. It's like a silky pigs ear. ;)
Fyi, I found an easier way to pull out the bolt latch. Use a flat screw driver, insert into the little knotch, and pry it out using the receiver as a fulcrum point. Pops right off. Strange about the front sight, 1st time I've heard about that one!
After getting one of these and seeing all of the upgrades you've done, I've followed your steps most of the way. I bought the same 8 shot tube extension and I'm actually able to fit 8 in the tube +1. I used the factory spring and after market follower that came with the extension kit. The follower was about an inch and a half long and after trimming about half an inch ( still plenty to keep from binding or turning) and I can fit the 8th. The gun also seems to not have a problem with loading an extra round on the carrier (ghost load) which bumps me up to 10. I enjoy the overall look of it much better with upgrades than factory. I ordered the single point sling mount but due to delivery issues they had to send it back to ggg. Im pretty excited to get it
I don't use the stock spring, I replaced it with a Wolf Spring. I can load 8 shells of 2-3/4 low brass, but only 7 high brass shells. Sorry to hear about your gg&g delivery
@Diemerstein I was having feeding issues, the spring wasn't stiff enough. I researched a bit and found quite a few references to it, so I grabbed one to try. Solved everything.

You're welcome! I think the 8 shot tube makes this gun look much better. If you are going to add the tube, I highly recommend changing the follower and the spring. The follower is cheap plastic and the spring that comes with the extension tube is a little on the soft side. The Wolf spring gives it much more positive feeding.
Yes your mods are the best, ordered most of them and so far the ones i got work very good, thanks for saving me all that time searching for them cheers.....Cap.
Nice video, I have all that and then some ordered. I'm also putting a red dot Lazer and flashlight on. I love my citadel boss hog I actually got mine off buds on sale for $135 I wasn't expecting much, but it's turning into my favorite shotgun. As long as you fire high brass 1300+fps ammo its unbelievable really. I pulled a 40 yard shot out my window, through an apple trees branches, under my shop overhang and above all 3 vehicles on a fox that had just killed 2 chickens and was about to grab a duck with full choke 00 buck. Dropped it like a stone. After going to grab it, I looked at the shot I took and it was 1 in a million that I only hit the fox and didn't hit anything else. I'd never do it again. Anyways, very, very good tool to have.
Allen...Thank you for all the great advice for the Warthog! Do you have an issue with your trigger assembly pin coming loose when you shoot? Mine seems to start backing out when I am shooting.
Could you do a video going over mounting the sight rail and your overall sight setup? I just bought one recently and it just has the front post, but I need either a rear sight or a rail to mount some type of optic, TIA!
Thanks for watching! 😎 I have not seen the "improved" one, I'll have to check it out. The one I linked is the one I bought. EDIT: just checked it out, no information on what the "improved" model is - no idea.
The silver choke I have installed in the video is a Carleson’s Light Modified Extended choke, it can be used for any type of shot from target loads to slugs and everything in between.
Thanks for doing this video man..Nice clean upgrades!.. I'm planning on doing pretty much everything you did on mine. Did you use the standard 12 GA spring from wolf, or the extended magazine 45 inch they have?
I bought the extended, but I believe that the normal length would have been just fine. If I were you I'd buy it off ebay, Wolf is taking like 3 weeks to ship.
I have no problem with the shotgun and any ammo I cut one full loop from the spring that changes the gun by the gas tube and it runs every target load I put in it
Fedarm makes an extension tube specifically for this gun . Or, their version the FX4. Its $30, $39 shipped and you end up with 7+1. Search "FX3 / FX4 Semi 7+1 Mag Extension" to find it. You still have to file or cut the end of the tube but there's no way around that unfortunately... I just put it on mine a week ago or so with the help of your other video , thanks! I chose to file the lip down tho instead of cutting it off, was a pain but I was super afraid I was going to screw up the threads. Edit: It comes with a spring, it wasnt in the pictures or description but it does. No follower, although the 7th shell barely fits with 2-3/4 and if you changed the follower to something like the orange one I'm not sure 7 could fit with a longer one. Personally I cant imagine it flipping over once its in there and the spring is in and all.
Thanks for posting the alternative tube, its great to have options. It must have been "fun" doing all that filing! I almost went out and bought a reamer but I decided to just cut it instead. I still had to do a decent amount of filing after, but now its nice and smooth. By the way, the 7th shell should go in easily, with enough room to load an 8th shell about half way. If not, you may want to trim the spring a bit. Not much, just an inch or 2. Make sure that you bend the cut part in and down so it doesn't catch on anything, and put the cut end on the opposite side of the follower. You are correct, if you use the big orange follower you will not fit the 7th shell in. The big orange follower got stuck multiple times for me which is why I bought the small Stainless steel one. Happy Shooting!
@@AMCITADEL It fit fine on mine with no spacer. They said some models need it some don't, some slight change on some. I even used a manual file... I didn't have any curved ones so I had to borrow it from my neighbor even. Didn't take as long as I thought it would tho, prob 10min.
Did you try screwing the mag end cap onto your magazine tube before you altered it, did it screw on nearly all the way? I bought the Carlson mag extension kit and their mag end cap only screwed onto my magazine tube about 3 turns so I returned it.
I used the spring that came with the kit. It had to be trimmed down a little though. I ended up ordering a new spring from Wolf Springs which has about %20 more power, so now I'm using that one.
since the rear sling mount adaptor is out of stock, do you recommend anything else, and have you thought about any optics for the rear sights? Just bought this shotgun this past weekend just Waiting to get it out lock down (CA). Love you Videos by the way!!
I changed the rear stock to the ATI T3, so it uses the quick detach sling mounts now. Those are available on Amazon, links in the description. I have a Docter Optics red dot for the rear, but I mostly just use the hi-viz on the front.
@@AMCITADEL ok thanks for the reply, I want to try our the Monte Carlo Stock first then maybe upgrade to the ATI T3 Stock. Do you have a link for the Docter Optics?
@@wellsme2000 I've had mine for years. Here's a link to the new ones. docterusa.com/docter-red-dot-sights/ They are around $400 last time I checked, obviously there are cheaper options. Vortex makes a good one too, I do have a link for that one in the description.
It is easy if you have already done the magazine extension, if not, you'll have to remove the roll crimp on the magazine tube first. This is best done with a dremmel, but you can also saw the last 2mm off the tube. Removing the tube from the receiver is quite difficult.
@@AMCITADEL Thank you for your prompt reply!!. This sounds too complicated for me. Your videos are incredible. Unfortunately I live in NYS and can't have more than 5 shells in a semi-auto shotgun.
@Bronx Tale If you have a dremel you will be done in 2 minutes. You just have to unscrew the magazine cap and grind off the crimp. Swap the followers and then put it all back together and screw the cap back on
It can be a bit tricky, but I managed to get it on. I also think there are two different versions of that rail, one is easier and one is a little bit more challenging.
I had to send it back and tried another you suggested. Has the clamps going down all the way on both sides. It worked perfectly! Thanks for sharing all those parts.
Great video. I’m actually upgrading mine similar to yours. Question I have is that on the original video for the extension tube. You mentioned 6+1 . On this video you stated 7+1. I’m in NJ only allowed 6 and 1 in the chamber . Is it 6+1? Thanks
The 7 shot tube gives you 7 total; 6 in the tube and 1 in the chamber. The 8 shot tube, which is the one shown in this video, has 7 in the tube and 1 in the chamber. In my previous video I have the 7 shot tube (6+1) installed if you want to see it.
@@AMCITADEL thanks for everything brother. I actually got the 7 shot which should be coming this weekend. Keep doing what your doing . Very helpful . Thank you so much
@Glenn Damian It appears to be the same design as the 870 model handle except for the cutouts, my guess is that it will work. Just remember, Although mine has not flown off yet doesn't mean it can't happen. Please don't blame me if it does 😎
You have any tips for mounting the rail attachment? I’ve been having issues with it not going on at all?? Idk if I’m just kinda dumb or if it’s just tricky
@@tedyoung6746 really looking forward to it! I bought the shotshell holder as well. Guess I'll no longer be needing the buttstock shellholder I have now. Oh well, I'll find someone who can use it.
On your magazine extension.... did it require any clean up of the threads so it would screw on the gun? Mine is only starting 1 thread and gets super tight. Just wondering. Thanks.
Typhoon Defense F12 handles fit. I ordered one and confirmed. Same tab but no detent. The tab is much more important. If you care about the detent, it's easy enough to make a small notch on the charging handle 6mm in from the end. www.typhoondefense.com/product-page/charging-handle
I will agree with the followers they are kinda junk the one that came with my tube extension was no better it was actually worse. Glad your still putting videos out in the gun I’m still trying to find a stock that can be modified to work I’ve gotta take my 500 and 870 apart and see which one fits better. Also finding parts for these are ridiculous no one has a stock or forend or anything really that I can find.
Yeah, the big orange follower was not my favorite, it got stuck multiple times on me - worse than the original. The new SS follower is perfect after a little polishing. The addition of the Wolf Spring also made a huge difference in the action. I'm no longer worried about the last round not feeding. If you are looking for the stock or forend found on the Tactical version, perhaps the best route would be to contact Legacy Sports directly. My guess is the stocks are interchangeable so maybe they sell them as replacement parts? 🤔
@@AMCITADEL yeah that’s what I was thinking about doing if the 870 or 500 stock doesn’t fit well I really like the gun hate there are no aftermarket parts for it other than robbing off other platforms. I’ll probably take the stocks off tonight due to our lovely winter shutdown.
@@huntweldandfish1534 good to know 👍🏻 I'd like to find an adjustable buttstock that fits this, thats my next adventure. Looking for something like this: zahal.org/product/fab-defense-remington-870-tactical-folding-stock-cheek-rest/
Hey Brother, in case you missed it, someone reported that the ATI T3 stock fits almost perfectly. I'm ordering one to find out, I'll post when I get it.
Hey again. I saw some videos of some remington shotgun owners who polished their bolts. I was wandering what you think about it and if you think it would help with gliding at all??
@@AMCITADEL ok so i convinced myself to try it but I only polished the areas that touch the glide rails and lower sides of the bolt that touch the cocking mechanisms. I am gunna do the entire bolt eventually. But I noticed right away the difference while cocking it and Its feels way smoother. I'm hoping now it won't have such a issue with lower fps shells and tomorrow I'm gunna go test it with some fiocchi 1145fps target loads. Hopfully I can report good news tomorrow lol
@@AMCITADEL So I am super happy with polishing my bolt and rails. It was a totally different gun. I went out twice over the weekend and didn't have one failed eject. @@AMCITADEL Also is the following kit from Midwayusa's as Brownells "Carlson's Magazine Tube Extension Benelli M1, M2, Super Black Eagle, Super Black Eagle II 8-Round Parkerized"
Greetings A M. I just recently purchased this Warthog as my first ever shotgun purchase. As you said in one of your vids the directions that come with it are trash. But the end of the manual states that the gun is shipped with some sort of plug that makes it 3 + 1 instead of 4 + 1. I want to begin some of the mods you make reference to but I don't know what plug the manufacturer is referring to. Do you know where this is?
If your gun has the plug installed its inside the magazine tube. The plug is installed depending on on the local laws where you live, so you may not have one. (Mine did not) Easiest way to find out is to see if you can load 4 shells in the magazine tube. If you can then you do not have a plug installed.
@@AMCITADEL damn I forgot to mention but I indeed already loaded the shells and it definitely stopped with just 3 lol. But thank you. I just wanted clarification on where to look before I accidentally reminded something that shouldn't be removed.
@@Hgoku10 if it stops at 3, you have a plug. Most likely that's illegal to remove if your local Gestapo deems that it is sold with one. This also precludes you from installing an extended mag. I guess they expect you to use it like a baseball bat...
@@AMCITADEL Lmao yea Maryland is stupid about these things. For handguns and long guns we aren't supposed to legally be able to purchase magazines over 10 rd capacity in state. But if I want to drive up to PA and purchase a 15 rd mag or 30 rd mag that's completely fine. I'll inquire as to whether or not removing that plug will land me in any trouble and if so then 3 + 1 it is 🤣🤣😒😒😒
Did you still use the factory magazine spring for the 8 shot magazine extension tube? I know you said you can keep the original spring on the 7 shot magazine extension tube but I wasn’t sure about the 8 shot
@@AMCITADEL gotcha! Got mine in today and went to put it on to realize it was the wrong size haha I think bass pro ran out of the 8 shot super nova extension tube but hopefully I can find one somewhere eventually 🤙
I will do shooting vids once the weather gets a little nicer, right now I can only shoot at an indoor range - slugs only. I ran through 2 boxes of 2-3/4 birdshot each of lead and steel with no ftf.
How in the hell did you remove the charging handle? I get mine to click out slightly and then its completely stuck, no amount of outward pressure moves it past that
Wedge a flat screwdriver underneath the little notch that is under the charging handle. Using the gun as a fulcrum point, push on the screwdriver and the charging handle will pop off.
How is the recoil on this shotgun with full power 00 Buck? I had a Mossberg 930, and it was a soft shooter, but have no experience with the Warthog. Any info would greatly help!! Thank you!
Hey I purchased the Carlson magazine tube extension do I use the spring that comes in it or do I keep using the original spring that comes with a shotgun
Ok.thanks for the information, I found one on ebay from Wolf.. also the orange follower that came with the 8 round mag extension kept getting stuck so I used sand paper on it and it works fine now. I still order the Stainless tho
@@givonjohnson5282 yeah, the orange one got stuck often which is why I bought the SS one. You will also have to polish the SS one, they are freshly machined and have sharp edges. A power drill works well for polishing that one.
I used the tacstar extension for benelli suggested from another channel. It's snugged up tight on the mag tube while disassembled but fully assembled did not tighten up and remained a little wobbly. Any suggestions? Great video will be using some of the other modifications for my citadel as well. I have found it very reliable so far and fun to shoot!
@@AMCITADEL thanks for the reply. Not sure where to put it. It seems I need to thread the extension further in not away to tighten up but I'll experiment some more. Thanks again big thumbs up!
Hello there I was just wondering, I'm a first time buyer of this model. On the links give below, does the citadel warthog able to take universally any brand of parts?
The only stock that I have seen that fits the Warthog is the ATI T3 listed below. As far as the magazine extension, there are at least 3 that I know about. One requires you add a spacer (not included) and the other is too cheaply made to last very long. The 3rd is the Carlson's tube thats linked in the description. That one fits perfectly and is well built. Caveat Emptor
I have the same model of the citadel warthog 12ga shotgun and I ordered the carlsons beretta benelli mobile chokes but the chokes won't fit into the barrel. Carlsons told me I have the have it reamed and re-tapped. Did you have any problems getting the chokes into the barrel?
I have no issues with the mobile chokes, I have 5 of them and they all fit normally. Only 1 of mine is a Carleson’s, but it's fine. Not to doubt you, but double check the choke(s) you bought are actually Benelli/Beretta Mobile chokes? I've spoken to some others who bought the wrong chokes by accident.
On the spring you ordered, was it the stadard spring 65165 TUBULAR XP SHOTGUN MAG SPRING 12 GAUGE Or 65167 TUBULAR XP SHOTGUN MAG SPRING 12 GA 45 INCH On the follower, does it matter what model 12ga you get the follower for? Aren't they all pretty much the same size?
@@AMCITADEL Thanks for the response. Were you able to use the spring that came with the tube extension? Also, I have a swivel stud with the wood screw threads. It looks too big for the plastic stock. Did you have any issues with the plastic stock splitting or cracking?
I used the spring that came with the magazine extension, had to trim a few inches off also. I too used the woodscrew threaded stud. I did expand the hole with a drill bit first so I would not have any issues with splitting.
Allen...Waiting for my Warthog to get here, but I will be breaking it in with 1320FPS 00 Buckshot, how many rounds do you think would be sufficient to break it in? As always...THANK YOU!!!
Have you had any problems with it double tapping? As in it fires when you pull the trigger as well as when you release it. I wonder if it has to do with the charging handle you recommended
I have not had that issue, but you are the second person to tell me this. I don't believe the other person was using that handle though. I'm curious, are the internal components on your gun exactly like mine or do you have the version with the extra spacer?
@@AMCITADEL I talked to the people at legacy today and they are gonna do a warranty fix on it. The gunsmith said it was a know problem in those shotguns. And yes, its the same as the one you have.
Sure, just hand it to me through the screen 😉 Seriously though, it can be a bit challenging. Make sure that the 2 set screws on top are unscrewed a bit first, then open the side screws just wide enough to go over the edges of the rail. Push down on the top and alternately screw the 2 side screws until tight, then screw down the top set screws until just snug. Blue painters tape is helpful for holding the rail in place while you work the side screws.
I chose not to drill & tap for 2 reasons: First, mine actually fits really well and does not fly off when shooting. I am aware that others are having an issue with it not staying on, but mine does. If it wouldn't stay put, I'd do it. Second, I almost never use it, as I prefer iron sights. If I used it always, I would definitely drill & tap.
@@AMCITADEL cool thanks for the feedback! Been thinking about trying an optic on my warthog. Also that single point is dope! Might have to get it as well haha
@That Rezzie Guyde The single point sling is the best for this shotgun, in my opinion. Someone else found another single point mount that doesn't require any modification, but I can't remember which one it was. It's in the comments somewhere. There is a link to the one I used in the description.
Yes, but it does require a quick modification with a drill. I have a video on that. Basically there are 4 dimples that you have to drill out, takes 60 seconds.
I don't remember exactly, maybe 1/4 or 5/16th. Perhaps watch this video, I might have talked about the size: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-muU4klQ0CvQ.html
I had a quick question if anyone can help me, I’ve had my Citadel Warthog for a few months and have a few hundred rounds through it. The barrel wiggles front and back brings the bolt group with it, any idea on whats causing this and how to fix it?
I've shot about 200 slugs so far using Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Light Modified & Modified. I found my best groups are with a LM choke, a Carlson's Extended to be exact.
Just picked this gun up from my local rk for $149. Tried it out today. Ran maybe 40-50 shells through it. One box of high brass then a couple magazines of 1200fps low brass. To my surprise it cycled everything great. One problem maybe you can help me with is the high brass shells were hard to load. I had to push them down hard or they wanted to bind up goin into the magazine. Low brass were not a problem. It’s like they needed to go in straight and they were held at a slight angle. Is there an adjustment I can make to the “catch” or whatever it’s called. Seems it needs to go lower to give them more room to go in. Any ideas?
Thank you for the quick reply. I have an aluminum follower coming from phase 5 tactical on eBay. Hopefully when it arrives along with the extension tube it will resolve. Only issue I had shooting it was the stock became loose. May throw a little blue loctite on it.
@@wvdeere8643 I think you will greatly prefer the SS follower. Just make sure its edges are super smooth, and if not sand it until it is so it doesn't catch on the small gap between the mag tube and the extension tube.
Looking at my order it’s not stainless steel it’s a machined 7075 t6 aluminum. Says 80% stronger than 6061 t6 aluminum. I don’t understand the numbers but hopefully it works as good as stainless steel.
@@wvdeere8643 it will still work. For the record, aluminum is a softer metal than SS, so technically it will wear faster. To be honest though, I don't think you will wear it down enough to matter during its lifetime. It will probably outlast the gun.

When its completely empty, pull the bolt back and itll lock then you put one in the chamber and push the button on the side where the shells eject to let the bolt go back forward now you can fill the magazine tube and have one in the head. To unload you make sure the chamber is clear then from the bottom where you enter the shells you push the metal ramp up then you put your finger over the shell and press the same button you used to let the bolt slide forward, the shell will come right out the magazine tube. make sure you hold the shell back or they will all want to shoot out of the magazine tube
Took me forever to find a muzzle brake adapter for this gun. I used it to add a door breacher brake just to see how it went. Didn't care for it, as it added an extra 4 inches to the barrel. @@ulisesmurillo3382 I took out that link because the charging handle no longer stays in place while firing. It lacks the retention tab that the original one has. I bought this one on Ebay, its perfect. I also bought the extended from Wolf directly. It is longer than needed so I'm keeping it for a spare. FYI wolf is taking a month to ship. www.ebay.com/itm/Wolff-Extra-Power-Shotgun-Magazine-Tube-Spring-for-Mossberg-500-590-8-9-Shot-/323639610380 EDIT: This is for use with the 8 shot magazine
I am using the 8 shot mag ext, so do I need to cut this spring, or can I load 7 rounds without cutting? As always THANK YOU for all the info you provide!!!
