Just wanted to say that I appreciated this video very much! Picked one of these up on Palmetto State for $199, spent $55 on a 10 shot extension and because of this video, it runs like a champ! I did cut a single coil off of the recoil spring to help it cycle birdshot, based on 704 Tacticals video. Once again, thanks for taking the time to make this!

@@codys1911 the tube sticks out 6 inches from the end of the barrel. Might look a little silly, but having 10 rounds is worth it

Thanks for making the video!!! After I cut the lip with my Dremel, I polished the inside with red Rouge and the end spring cap falls/slides all the way out with zero issues. Just waiting on mag tube extension arriving today!

Excellent video. One tip for anyone that has feeding problems because of that cut edge is to hit it with a dremil or a round file on the inside.

The exstended mag tube will work on a tri star as well also choke tubes for g force works on tri star to.

Very Important Correction Needed for this video- If one is looking down at GF1 on bench, as you are in video, the magazine tube should be rotated "Counterclockwise" to remove. Not going to get where you need to be going- If you're turning right when you're supposed to be turning left 😉

The factory has a video on how to install this. And they cut the tube as well. They do say it voids the warranty. So if you have put out a video can you link me to it please. I'm installing this next weekend. If i don't have to cut that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Theres no way to avoid cutting the tube, there an extension blocker at the end of the tube that makes the tube too narrow to let extra shells pass, that needs to be grinded or cut off sadly. That being said you should never need to use the warranty unless you break the weapon in 2

@@vietnamtactical that's what I thought. And I'm not worried about the warranty. I won it off GB. for $67 and some change plus shipping. It was 90 something total. It was new old stock. So as long as it shoots a few times, I got my money out of it. 😂🤣. I appreciate the response.

There is something blocking the follower from being able to go down to the extension and the company decided it was a good idea to make that a permanent part of the weapon

I recently purchased a Gf1. Disassembled to clean before firing and thought I might as well remove shell limiting rod while it was broken down. Firearm dealer and owners manual led me to believe said rod was present. According to owners manual- use a large flat head screwdriver to pry out black end cap..... Got it out ( in pieces) and realized it was not end cap but cheap plastic that was attached to mag spring ( joke of a mag spring retainer) and there was no limiting rod! Contacted G Force and was informed that this shotgun Is Not shipped with limiting rod and they are in the process of revising the manual. Basically the owners manual is Not accurate for this firearm. Novice mistake on my part- should never have trusted the owners manual 😉 Still need to get remaining cheap plastic out of mag tube and come up with a replacement spring retainer. Can't get mag tube to budge- tried gloves first, then channel locks with rag and tape, and strap wrenches. Won't move at all. Worked construction for 25+ years, so it's not a matter of strong grip..... At first was sceptical about twisting clockwise, but after many emails with G Force was finally told that the mag tube threads counter clockwise, but any damage resulting from it's removal would not be covered by warranty as mag tube removal is not considered routine cleaning or maintenance. Extremely Frustrated at this point and don't believe I will Ever purchase a GForce product again! Any New ideas for tube removal would be greatly appreciated, as I am about to the point of grinding the detent lip off and saying Fu#k the Warranty!!!

Thanks for your suggestions 👍😀 After another email to G Force and RU-vid comment on their Gf1 video- Received a a call from a very friendly and helpful Brian. He offered to send a spring retainer kit and advised me to use heat gun( they use strong thread lock because they don't want Tube to loosen) then twist mag tube Counterclockwise..... First attempt- still wouldn't budge. Tonight- Success 🙂!!! Spring retainer set should be on the way😁 Thanks be again for your suggestions 🙏

Was the mag tube difficult to remove? I saw another video saying mag tube is hard to remove. Do you cut off one or two threads from the tube?

2 threads to be safe. With a manual metal saw it does take time but its not hard. Just make sure everything is smooth when youre finished!

So the spring can compress letting more shells come in, also so you can remove the tube block

I actually opted to just use a hand file and file the lip out, was worried I might junk my threads. Either works, or a dremmel with a sanding wheel!

So, there's a restriction inside the tube that won't allow the spring to compress past the last two threads?

@@jimcarney6115 there is a lip or ridge inside the original mag tube that holds the mag spring in place. If you do not remove it by either sanding it down or cutting just under it, the extension will be pointless because the spring will not go past that point and more shells cannot be loaded… hope that helps

Did you use a vice and grip gloves to take off the mag tube? im trying to get mine off with grip gloves and it aint budging....

I put on grip gloves and twisted as hard as i could, i could barely get it loose. Maybe get a friend with good grip to try for you. I didnt use a vice

@@vietnamtactical Ah ok. I ended up not taking off the tube...I was getting frustrated and I just took a small pry bar (or use a rod) and depressed the mag spring down and hold it, and I took a dremel with a cutting wheel and carefully cut around the threads you pointed out, then slowly released the spring along with the 2 caps from the tube and then used a deburr bit on the dremel and smoothed the edges off lol.

@@Blah4551 It got the job done good job! Remember to make sure that that the inside of the cut is smooth and that the top is as flat as possible so your mag spring doesnt get caught on it. When all of that is done, tighten the mag tube as tight as possible when you go shooting so the gun doesnt jam. Hope the vid helped👌

FYI that extended spring is because you just added a shit ton of length to it , after alittle bit you will need that other spring in it , why tell people they don't need it I've done abunch of these extension tubes on pumps you need the spring 🤣😂

Is the bolt locked to the rear? Press the bolt release if it is but either way it should always be down unless you pull the charging handle back a little

So many crude rank amateurs on RU-vid. NEVER NEVER cut the mag tube. I'm a professional firearms manufacturer & gunsmith. We swage the inside of the threads to remove the lip that holds the spring. Much easier & faster & NO DAMAGE that will void the warranty. I ordered one of these & will make a video to show the "proper" way to do the job.

@@vietnamtactical I don't work for someone else. I have my own business . 34 years & still working on the fun stuff.. I'm a firearms manufacturer in Texas We also built NFA goodies for years. You really don't expect me to give my business name do you ???? That would be stupid considering the chaos going on now days & the security issues I have to take. I'll have a Gforce GF1 12ga. delivered on Tuesday. I plan to do the extended mag set-up if it shoots well. I'll post a video when I do. Subscribe to my channel & check back soon. Here's a trick for break in that works. Just lightly oil the outside of the mag tube with oil that has Teflon (Rem oil). Makes it slick as pig snot to help cycle correctly. Simply wipe off after shooting. HTH

@@LoneStarHomestead3 if you make suppressors id be happy to buy one when the law passes for texas made suppressors, my GF1 is really just a fun gun. With my more mature knowledge on firearms I always push people to spend high after getting something that works. Yes im no manufacturer i dont make lowers from a block of metal with a CNC machine, but building guns from stripped parts (sure its easy) is what i may be doing on this channel. Just ordered a Mk18 upper a year ago, waiting to get back from this tour to get my hands on my next build. If you have all the proper licenses I dont think itll be a big problem disclosing a business. Let me know if you make suppressors that are compatible with surefire muzzle devices tho. Subscribed, i need to invest in machining for other platforms beside ars and aks

I suggest contacting the Silencer Shop for getting a suppressor as they can help you every step of the way & they can get it done. I don't advertise because my business is located on my property where I live in the country. For security reasons, I only allow LEO's & Gov't employees (by appointment) entry to my shop because our time is very limited . Also, security is a major concern when dealing with the public with all the bad things happening everywhere now. I will be showing some of our suppressors on my channel soon. He also called the bolt and carrier the upper receiver. This cat doesn’t know correct terminology nor his left from right. Honestly, I’ll be surprised if his shotgun feeds at all since he said he used the original mag spring instead of the extended spring.

Beefalo Bart......kudos to this kid for a DIY video on this specific shotty! I tend to agree that one "should" know the correct nomenclature of the parts, but I have to admit I was laughing so hard that I had to restart the video about 8 different times. OR....turn it into a drinking game!!! Take a shot every time he calls something incorrect...you will be seriously buzzed in under 7 minutes!!! Vietnam Tactical: cool DIY video. Very funny at times! But the information was "Helpful".
