Today we are looking at the exciting new release signed by Citizen, the Titanium NJ0180-80X is hands down the best integrated bracelet watch I've ever tried! Hope you enjoy it, Andrei
New to watches, what do you mean exactly when you say " the 'value proposition' void that Seiko left behind."? Is Seiko not good value anymore? Edit: Context, when I watch videos about value watches, Seiko gets mentioned almost every single time.
Citizen has their spotlight since a long time ago. Great history, innovations, and achievements in horology, a lot of people just don't know about it. I've Citizen Attesa ATD53-2841 with the features like sapphire crystal (anti-reflection coating glass), antimagnetic, perpetual calendar, titanium, hard-coating band, eco-drive, radio controlled, duratect (scratch resistant), got it second-hand just for $50! Swiss-made just never on that level of insanity price worth comparing to some japanese watches.
As an independent watch repairman I just love the Citizen/Miyota movements as they are so well designed and reliable. I take a Miyota movement over a Seiko movement any day, and the Seiko movements are pretty darn good!
Miyota movements are what watchmakers call a throwaway movement… it’s not even worth the time and effort to fix one versus just buying a replacement and being done with it…
"CITIZEN BEATS GRAND SEIKO! (3hz, 40hr, low accuracy, stamped clasp)" A solid PRX rival but not really a GS rival is it? Come on BB - you're better than these click bait titles 😂
Fantastic review!! Citizen is really nailing it with their releases lately - this and the AW0130-85ZE with the Salmon dial are probably my favorites so far!
I recently bought the Citizen Attesa Moonphase AT, and I absolutely love it. The finishing of the titanium is amazing. With the protective coating, there are no marks on the finish, and I've hardly taken it off for several months.
I own citizen nb1060 and i think the dial is one of the most beautiful dials ever created. This one in particular is astonishing as well. Hope they will make more of such watches in the future!
Hello there! Just discovered your channel I like your genuine enthusiasm which is kind of rare to find these days Excellent production quality is an added bonus
The watch itself looks like Iwc ingeniour but the dial looks like an OP. Fantastic job Citizen. Normally I’ll only go for higher end watches but citizen made a fantastic watch here
Thank you. Another great video. Interestingly I’m a hardcore Grand Seiko collector (10+) and I recently fell for a Citizen chronomaster in titanium. Crazy specs (washi dial on a solar quartz with perpetual calendar, insane accuracy, zaratsu polishing), gorgeous looks and design, and half the price of a basic GS 9F…
@BR81-iv6lt you realize there's people that can afford nice things and feed thier kids right? Not everyone is in the shitty situation as you. Drying doing better instead of hating people that are
I was already thinking about this one. Really nice watch with a beautiful dial color, like a tropical turqoise bay!! 38/39mm preferred and shame they did not use a higher beat 9 series movement. Thanks man!
After your review I bought one!! Followed your advice and went through Chronicles 24 and it arrived in Australia from Italy in 2DAYS!!!! Thank you love it.
Impressed ! ... good to see Citizen waking up & shaking up things in the market offering some nicely thought out & well put together pieces at a sensible price. i think the clasp would be a fair niggle but other than that what's not to like .
One of my favorite watch reviews from one of my favorite reviewers. Great footage and I think Citizen has been on a roll lately. Citizen is doing what Seiko simply can’t anymore, it’s offering good quality at their affordable price.
I like every video of yours. Kept aside how well u explain and create hype and deliver. I really like the watches u showcase and maybe its just same viewpoint of us.
Thanks for the review! What a gorgeous watch! Such a pity that it is again so oversized... If it had a reasonable size (36 - 38 mm) I'd buy it without thinking twice.
I love the content on this channel, with affordable pieces that are often overlooked, and are more interesting than the usual Ali Express stuff that other channels cover.
After several months of searching for my “perfect watch,” I think I found it. And I would also consider this a field watch to some extent. Hear me out… The watch is 39.5mm, has a day, date, sapphire crystal, great luminous hands, 200m water resistance, screw-down crown, titanium bracelet, quick adjustable clasp with a fold over safety clasp, perpetual calendar, and is radio controlled (the radio control only works in Japan, but you can get an app that can sync it. Also, the perpetual calendar works without the radio control feature; I just tested it this past February to see if it would go to the 29th, then change to the 1st, AND IT DID!) and lastly, is an Eco-Drive (solar)! The watch is the Citizen Promaster Land, reference PMD56-2952 Japanese Domestic Model. I had mine imported through Chrono24 and it is definitely my favorite watch!
As someone with modest income I used to look at Seiko and Orient...they were cheaper than Citizen for roughly the same specs. Now that Seiko has moved upmarket Citizen has caught my eye these last few years. I've also looked at microbrands too. But Citizen has really knocked it out...but I do wish some of my favorite Citizen watches didn't have integrated lugs. I would like the option to switch out to bands.
Saludos!!!
Andrei my first watch given to me by my now late father, was a 1970 Citizen manual date watch wayyyyy back in 1972! I still have it now & recently had it serviced. Honestly I only knew the Citizen brand here in Australia at that tender age of 10!🤪This new titanium auto is a definite to add, especially with those specs let alone the price!🤩👍🏻
Citizen are smashing it lately, the eco drive chronograph on the integrated design looks very good too, I'll be curious to see a review on their more expensive pieces like series 8 or le to see how they quality compears to seiko or other mid tie, great review as usual and cute cat btw
I bought one of these for my wife in the last days and it looks really nice and well built. If you put also the price into the equation, it becomes almost unbelievable!
Citizen has been hitting home runs in the last couple years! I'm really glad I didn't yet buy a Tsuyosa and discovered this watch. This is far better in just about every way. I'm very impressed with the build quality of this watch at this price point! It even has a sapphire! Citizen has had a reputation of putting mineral glass on most of their watches and I expected this to have glass as well but I'm glad Citizen surprised me on this aspect as well. I will definitely be picking one of these up! Too bad they are not available in the US right now. Like the Tsuyosas, Citizen may offer these watches in the US a few months after the initial release to other markets. Thanks for the review. It was helpful.
I have a citizen but its certainly far from my favorite watch, HOWEVER.... this is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and I can't believe they're selling it at this price point!
At the beginning of my watch collection I tried an NH35, then I been only collecting solar watches most of them (90%) Citizen titanium, just one Seikona.. But this last release from Citizen is very tempting. Citizen is offering fresh designs with great specs at affordable prices, I'm just waiting for calm down the hype for this automatic release
I decided to buy watches with manually wound mechanical movement or solar quartz movement. However, there are so many interesting watches with automatic movement. So tempting.
I'll probably buy that salmon day/ date version. Citizen is my overall favorite brand, they go from cheap solar to Promaster divers to The Citizen 0200 with an La Joux Perret movement all the way to Arnold and Son and Angelus. They are so underrated. They have better QC than Seiko, as a matter of fact I've never seen a misaligned anything on a Citizen, hell even the crown on my Promaster diver always screws in logo up. They didn't need to do that. They have great lume, lots of options... you really can't go wrong and I am glad they're finally getting the attention they deserve.
Citizen have always made good watches. I recently got a Citizen bullhead chronograph. The original 70's one, not a reissue. I have a Citizen diver from 1977. It's actually better than Seiko's from that period. It's automatic with hand winding and hacking. 👍
I wish they'd release eco drive versions of all of these. I get that automatic watches fit the higher end market better, but I love the idea of having a nice watch that's super accurate and powered by light.
Why oh why they don’t do anything to the crown. Same as in Seiko it looks like it’s been replaced from a different watch. Like a crown for every watch if you missing original one from…your watch. Thank you for another great video😀
