Discontinued, I have one (black-blue dial) bought around six years ago. Remember this video was uploaded in 2015. No lo encontrarás salvo de segunda mano.
I love your stuff fella, thank you! Been looking at dates and it seems your reviews are head and heels BEFORE the rest! I think you're the man! Watch your back!
Bro, I love your videos man. I got this watch this Year 2022 and now it has a 8204 movement. Winding and hacking bro. I love this watch! I get + 10 seconds a day after 1 month testing.
How long does the lume last? Can you do a time laps video for the watch? Also, Does the bezel have a play to it? I would appreciate it, if you would do another video to answer my questions.
Hi sir. I have question because you have the mini turtle. What wears smaller or looks/appears smaller on the wrist the mini turtle or the citizen ny0040. Thank you in advance.
Actually got me a Molnija stainless steel brushed mesh bracelet, and it is gorgeous on this watch. ;) And the accuracy.. First it was 2 s slow for a couple of days, then 1-2 s fast for a couple of days. Then spot on. Spot on. amazing. Iv've used it the exact same way for almost two weeks, so maybe it's just settled normally from the use. I am extremely satisfied. Love the looks of this one. Only drawback is, I think the lume for me at least, gets a bit smeared out and hard to read in the early morning hours, but something I can live with since it is so very nice to look at in the day time (when we are all awake) 😃
Great review, thanks. I have this exact model and IMHO it's the equal of any of my Seiko divers. The good things it shares in common with the SKX is outstanding lume and reliability. On the minus side they both have straps that could be better :( I wear it on a variety of NATO straps.
+Gumru Sardarova Mine fluctuates between 6.5 and 6.75". this watch might look a little big for you but you could still rock it! I recommend no more than a 46mm lug to lug and no more than a 40mm case size BUT, it all depends on what you feel looks good. My optimal case size is 39mm with a 45.5mm lug to lug however, one of my favorite watches to wear is a 42mm with a lug to lug of 50mm. Happy hunting!
+Benedict San Diego I'm not going to lie, it can't get used to it. When I need to change something, I have to take the watch completely off. It's not the best situation. I suppose it would work great for those who wear their watches on their right wrist.
Dang dude, I like the rounded under-parts.... under pants?? Yes, underparts...the corner from the sides to the back.... how comfortable is it to wear??
That is a beautiful looking watch. I had not heard of them until now. But I will research it. I own an SKX009. Which I love. But it's always nice to find something comparable.
At 8:45 the spot is the shadow of the seconds hand's counter weight because it blocked the flash light and the spot didn't get enough light. I have this watch on a super engineer Type1 bracelet and it ROCKS, I like it very very much. The lume gets confusing at its last stages because both hands and dial will reach almost same brightness level but you can still tell the time. Thanks for the review. Really excited on how it'll turn out.
onLYbyMoon Indeed! I could not recreate that spot! I actually remember you telling me about this watch and that bracelet :p. I think? It's already finished. I love this watch. It's my new favorite. It fits perfectly and looks awesome.
minitwatch yeah I remember telling you about it lol. It's really an understated watch. btw if you're interested getting a brushed SE1 bracelet, i got it from watchgecko. Money well spent.
onLYbyMoon That bracelet looks great! I might get it for something else but right now, I have this watch on a different strap and it has become my favorite watch to wear. It fits so good, look fantastic and is comfortable! Is there a nickname for this watch? There should be! Perhaps oh, I don't know, the SubLime Citizen? Or maybe the Night Jade or something hippy like that :p lol.
minitwatch haha , SubLime sounds good but we're kinda late to the party for the naming. From what I saw on your pebble video I glanced the watch and it appeared to have a polished bezel.. Did you polish it? If so, then I'm not sure if the bracelet will look the same with your mode. I'm excited to see how it turned out though.
Actually, this white one you're showing is so bad ass reaper cool. ..in a laid back manner. my personal opinion is, it's super just as it is. no modding is my 2c ;)
The bezel on my SKX013 is all kinds of messed up, and I'm seriously considering replacing it with this. Do you think I should? It'd be cool to have, especially since it was used with the Marina Militare, but it might be less just to fix my Seiko.
As you probably already know, this watch is pretty hard to find now. If you can find one and if it's a good price, I would get it just because of that. :p Love that 013, though. It is definitely on my list.
minitwatch The bezel on the 013 is a little tinny (this isn't the problem I'm having with mine) and the lume is just a tad less bright than it's bigger brothers, but other than that I can't recommend it enough. The slimmer size makes it much more elegant and the different design on the minute had is reminds me of Omega divers. Of course, it is also better for those of us with smaller wrists, too.
Nothing great about Citizen eho-drive. After 15 years or so you have to change the rechargeable battery which is expensive. One of my Seiko quartz chronograph is running for 12 years and still running. I bought it cheap in the no warranty department. which says export set.
Hi, what's the model name of the NY0040 quartz movement? It's the same model but with date and crown at 3. Anybody? I'd like to find out what's that model number since I only collect Solar and Quartz. Thank you guys.
+jon sam Some people don't think the NY00400-09WB be like it is, but it do! lol. I still think it's under-rated and i know full well how awesome they are! People are too quick to discredit Citizens! They think "Oh, it's not a rolex? it must be crap" BULLLLSHIIIIIITT.
Do not buy this model for the lume. The full lume version becomes illegible in the dark rather quickly (because of the light colored hands on light background). The regular Citizen's lume is legible pretty much all night.
these old models from the 90s are automatic only but there is a new line very similar i think its BN... smthing, that comes in quartz or solar also i think.
+Altex lan Can you please tell me why you say this? Not that I disbelieve you or disagree with you or anything. I also feel that Seiko is better but why do you think this is so? For me, it seems that Citizen is really lacking in the the mechanical watch department and is more so focused on their Eco-Drive watches. The thing is, my most reliable and durable watch has been my NY2300 promaster. I take that sucker on most of my gnarly adventures and it just handles and handles it! Aside from a Casio G-Shock, I wouldn't use anything other than that robust little Citizen! Cheers, man!
@@Elmer1953 well 2 years later and you probably already know it. But it is not discontinued. You can actually find newer models being released with the updated 8204 movement, hacking and hand winding. This one (full lume) included, even if it is not present on all the markets. It is on various Italian online retailers though
good for you.Seiko made poor quality watches. you have to wear it every day to know that. time keeping is totally out. poor water resistant. Seiko is rubbish to be frank with you.
