Your welcome! That's a great price, congrats on getting one. It looks even better in person, it's one of the best black coating on a watch I've ever seen, and gorgeous dial as well. That's funny about Larry David's voice, I haven't heard that yet, but coincidently I have gotten 2 people mention that sound like J Seinfeld, lol. They've have worked so long together they probably have similar talking timing, etc.. and I grew up near NYC and have seen all the Seinfelds and watched Larry's show as well. I was surprised when you mentioned that.. originally when the Skyhawk came out, the AT stood for Advanced Technology.. but when researching your comment, I noticed they added A-T to the Navihawk name, and the world time one too, and other atomic watches so I guess it's now Atomic Timekeeping for sure.. so thanks for the heads up! I didn't know they were doing that...

@@WristwatchObsession That's interesting that they have changed the name over time. Watching this video really cemented my decision to get the watch. So now from Citizen I have this model and a 2014 atomic. Such great quality and practicality.

Thank you! True, they are tricky to set up.. Speaking of the Blue Angels versions I just did a review of it on my channel.

I think the water resistance is always on the dial of their diving and field watches, and on the pilot's watches it's on the back. Probably because of all of the subdials, etc. and they'd rather put "Radio Controlled" instead of the water resistance on the dial. Thanks for watching!

These have fairly loud alarms and timers, louder than my G-Shock squares. If on the wrist the Skyhawk is quieter than off wrist. No way to make louder if on wrist but if used to wake up etc.. turn the back of the watch towards you and it would be the loudest.

The bezel insert is aluminum.

norsairius 48mm I believe. I have a smaller wrist and this watch wears great still.

I use to think it was difficult to pull the crown out to change modes, but I’ve learned to pinch the crown and the tips of my fingers push against the case. This is easy to do and works while wearing the watch. So it’s much easier to operate with this trick.

Because once you don't press the buttons it is sealed, and confineds the water in the watch. Also a 1000mt watch you can "pump" water in it while under water, that's why they say never press the buttons or extract the crown while underwater.

I wore an original Citizen Nighthawk on bracelet everyday for 4 years from 2006 - 2010, it was one of my all time favorite watches. I love the little airplane indicator for the day / night part of dial. They came out with a few colors after that, I'd like to pick one up new old stock. I don't care too much for the new style ones, it looks similar to a lot of other watches out there.

@@WristwatchObsession . I wholeheartedly agree that the original Citizen Nighthawk Pilot's watch is one of the greatest, most beautifully designed watches of any brand in the history of wristwatches! Some watch fans think its' watch dial is too busy looking, but I disagree-- Citizen layed out the slide rule and fuel consumption calculators on the watch dial in a very tasteful manner which does not, in my opinion, make the watch dial look too busy/cluttered with information. There is currently a Citizen black ion-plated, stainless steel metal links bracelet Nighthawk watch that appears to be in very good-to-excellent condition available for purchase on Ebay at a very reasonable price. That watch on eBay is either the BJ7019-62E Nighthawk which was released by Citizen in 2010 for their North American watch market or it is the alternate version of the BJ7019-62E Nighthawk watch (the last part of the model number of the alternate version I believe is 54E) which Citizen released that same year for their Asian watch market. The difference between the two versions is that the BJ7019-62E Nighthawk watch has the great deep, laser-etched Eco-Drive, planet Earth logo on the caseback plate, whereas on the alternate version, the logo on the caseback plate is just a superficial, shallow-etched logo.

Thank you! I believe that this IP version coating is going to hold up very well in years of use, it seems very thick but time will tell I guess. I don't have a blue angels version right now, I have a few in the past of the Skyhawk AT, I really want the titanium version so if I get that one I'll do a review, and I might add a blue angels of this updated model, so I'll definitely make a vid of it if I get one.
