Great video!!! I own this very same model and your review is the best I have ever seen! I bought mine seven years ago and I simply love this watch also own the t-touch gen1, in stainless steel, and I agree with you about the bracelet, it's fantastic!
I have one of these. I had to get it warranted 4-5 time cause the screen bleeding issue it had. Now it has a dead battery but might get one in it and start wearing it again. Or sell it 😂
I own this watch for over a year and still love it. I do not baby it though. A gshock is made to be able to take a beating and this is one of the most durable G's yet. I wore it all the time on my trip through Cambodia and Vietnam (tunneling, caving, hiking, rock climbing, bike trips etc). It has a few marks but they just remind me of a great adventure.
There is no light for the dial itself. There are amber backlights on the 2 LCD screens only. I counldn't make the room dark enough to show it, they aren't very bright.
Love this watch! Thanks for the review. I am about to pick up a brand new one on ebay. Just getting into the G-Shock line and just purchased two new MRG watches. MRG-B5000B-1 and MRGB-B5000BA-1 (the Kiwami Ao-Zumi with blue accents).
Citizen has a bad habit of making small and hard to read date windows on many of their watches. That said though, this is a real dive watch not a desk diver, so the date isn't too important since most divers don't need to know the date while they are under water so it's not too important on this watch. They should have just not included it if it's going to be too difficult to see.
Great looking watch and orange strap is so great combo with it. I looking to buy for myself this Citizen but im in hesitate what color, blue or black, because i want to pair it up with orange nato strap and i don t know witch color is going better, blue or black. Sweet pains... Big Hi for you from Serbia!
Hello Boris! Nice to hear from someone in Serbia. Both colors look great. I chose blue because so many of my watches are black i choose colors whenever I can.. Plus the blue on this watch looks really nice. Black is good too, goes with everything.. have you tried google images? type: black dial diver watch with orange strap.. maybe a bunch will come up to give you an idea what it might look like.
Hi.. it's holding up fine.. has some minor marks from hitting on things but still looks great and nothing is noticeable really with all the designs on it, it's hard to notice any marks.
Awesome video! I've been browsing through your collection and noticed that we share a similar taste in watches. It turns out I own almost all the models you've showcased! Just subscribed to your channel! 😆☺
I have the BNO 150 ( Black version ). The watch itself is excellent, built like a tank with outstanding lume. I just ordered the BRAC 35 from Long Island Watch, they make stainless steel bracelets for the promaster divers. The rubber strap the watch came on isn't working for me after a month of wear. I'm going to dress it up just a bit. Good vid, thanks.
Thank you! I'm not a fan of the strap that comes with these divers, hence the orange one I have on it and i have a different generic brand of blue silicon strap to mix it up once in a while. I wish more brands would make divers like this one that is a more wearable size and weight.
For a year i have owned this model and i use it daily from casual to formal ocassion. No regret buying this and i never get bored looking at this watch. This watch definitely have a bit of military vibe and it does look mature because of the color combination coffee color. Definitely will keep this watch forever.
Great watch, I have an older version, JY8058-50L stainless steel and is a big heavy watch, I think is 48mm, but I think the movement is the same with this one. It is the blue angels edition. But recently I find another promaster skyhawk titanium, CB0230-81E and is very simple dial, radio controlled eco drive, perpetual calendar. The rotating sliderule bezel is inside and is rotated with the crown on the left side. It is more legible and simple and is very light, only 99 grams. It is my new favorite watch. But one thing I noticed is this super titanium duratect coated case and bracelet is not that scratch resistant after all, the fine scratches are more visible compared to my old 316L stainless steel version. What is your experience with this titanium one?
The Funny thing is i orderd the leather one with white ring but amazon delieverd me the blue metal version on leather strap, The watch was brand new but i got it for 361$ so i didn't complain a lot but i like the white strap more
These sorts of things happen often with gray market watches from Amazon. Not all dealers on Amazon are gray market but most i think are. Sometimes you get the wrong box, warranty card missing etc. And different strap or bracelet sometimes. If you really want the white band version just return this one and try again with another dealer or ebay. Ebay has more regular retail dealers with new in box watches.
Hi.. The IP coating is perfectly fine, still crisp with no fading or any issues at all on colors etc. I don't wear it when i'm doing high risk activities for a watch like working in the yard or vehicle.. still my watches get bumped on door knobs, desk when typing etc.. there are some scuff marks and light scratches to the bracelet that faces outside the wrist like any bracelet area that gets scratched and on the clasp from desks and tables. There are no deep scratches and nothing that reached the titanium. There are a few small scuffs or nicks to the bezel, again not down to metal and not too noticeable. Overall holding up well.
@@WristwatchObsession Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. I really appreciate your feedback. Looks like this is a great watch. I just ordered one today as Casio is running 20% discount on this watch.
I've had my eye on this watch for a long time. I should just go ahead and get it. I love everything about it. My everyday is the cheapo A168, i am a little nervous, though, with this one being too bulky for my taste 🤔 but when you say you forget it's on, that's exactly what i like to hear.
Yeah if a watch isn't comfortable then eventually I'm going to want to take it off my wrist and not were it much. This watch is very ergonomic for wrists and with the light weight of titanium and the titanium bracelet to perfectly balance the weight of the watch head it is extremely comfortable to wear.
>If you notice something is not functioning with your G-Shock after you bought it "Brand New", such as tough solar or RC (Radio Connection time sync), you should really just send it into Casio to have it repaired UNDER WARRANTY. That was my personal experience. Thank you for all your experience and expertise. - I have GMW-B5000GD-9 (the gold all metal one) and it has the same 5459 module and i can completely agree about all the functions. Obviously the bad parts is that it's "gold tone" and looks AMAZING on negative display, but scratches are so noticable even with the IP coating because it's stainless steel instead of Titanium. Very amazing watch you have, and especially if you're a "timeless classic" type of person who loves "classic/quality". I bought mine brand new from Amazon, but the watch was low on battery even tho i bought it brand new. The day i got the watch i registered it, had it on "power save", and left it by the windowsill absorbing all the sun it can for weeks, and then i made a "repair claim", sent it to Casio with printed papers of invoice that it was brand new, and also a screenshot of when i registered the watch and the confirmation number, and they fixed whatever was wrong with the watxu for free. Only thing i had to pay for was packaging and sending the watch at my own expense which was well worth it.
I love sapphire crystals and have many watches with it, so I don't need one on this almost perfect dive watch. This is a true ISO certified diver, with mineral crystals much more shatter resistant than sapphire it makes sense for a diver especially in this price range. I've had 1 Rolex sub, about 10 Omega divers, and many others but this relatively inexpensive diver has all the right elements for a great diver: 200m, super legible dial, nice bezel, not to thick or heavy, just great all around.. I wish other brands would make more watches this size and weight. With all the color options available in this watch it's hard to pass up getting one, and they're easy to find at least 25% off on one.
I bought one of these a couple of months ago I love it. I have been thinking of buying an orange strap too to match the orange hand. Now I have seen this I am going to order one as soon as I have finished watching this video.
It's a good question... I can't find any reference that says it has an EOL indication like the jumping seconds the citizen solar movements have. This is a Miyota 6S21 and I can't find out if the movement has the end of life built in but I don't see it. I"m guessing it doesn't have it.
@@WristwatchObsession ok thanks. I saw one of these for C$350 on sale and I was tempted to take back my Tissot Seastar 1000 chronograph because the crown wobbles when it’s fully unscrewed so I’m not sure if I’m gonna bite the bullet or not.
I bought this watch a couple months ago , but I bought the JAPAN version with the yellow carbon fiber band. I personally own 13 Rangeman GW-9400 watches in various colors.
