the parts of the song that goes "l-e-t-d-o-w-n, don't let me pull you down into the place I'm in." and the part that goes "My brothers and sisters, I hate myself. Halleluja!" really hit me hard as most of my life I had hated myself and bottled up my emotions and stress not wanting to worry people which only made things worse. I honestly think your songs saved my life, they gave me something to cope and helped me feel like I wasn't fighting my problems alone when I didn't think my parents understood my pain.

As a Christian who suffers from depression, I love this song. "There's nobody better than me at ruining everything" I felt this today in my soul. I was feeling like I wanted to hurt myself to stop the thoughts and then this song popped up.

It's one of the biggest fears I have. Letting down everyone around me. I've pushed people away just so i dont drag them down and hurt them. It would kill me to know I hurt someone because of the things I hold. Amazing song as always! Much love!

I'm not sure you'll even see this comment, but I'm going to leave it anyway...it's not an exaggeration when I say your painfully relatable music has literally saved my life. Just knowing there's someone out there that feels and thinks in a similar way is more comforting than I can express. I've been made to feel crazy, dramatic, worthless, a complete waste of the air I breathe for most of my life. I literally came into this world a mistake and unwanted. It has been uphill from the beginning. Many times I've thought about finally putting an end to my painful and pointless existence. Finding your amazing catalog of insanely good songs spoke to my soul. My life has never been easy. I don't know what it feels like to be truly loved and valued. I am just stubborn enough to keep on keeping on. Your words, passion, and truly incredible voice has kept me from stepping off that ledge more than once. I've been waiting for this one since you posted the short, I was playing it on repeat so much. I love the full version even more!!!

There's time like these when I like to see the road we followed until now and listen to 3 songs : - the first song I've ever listened to the group, Weight of the world in this case, which was to me a soft song for people who feel like they can't accomplish anything and just lower everyone down with them Then the song that sticked to me, that made me think "ok this group is fire, I'mma follow them until the end", which was Stronger than my storm, a song about people being in the worst situation and fighting every days, hours, minutes, seconds in this hellish place to get to the best part of their life And now the last song created, Letdown. A full of energy song about what one think of itself when he lets his inner voice win This as been a long ride and I can't thank Citizen Soldier enough for it. I've stopped being the weight of my world, conquered my storm from before fighting for the new storm ahead, and am now fighting this inner voice. I may not relate right now to all the new song but I know a version of me from before would have, just like future me won't relate to this one but I do now. What I mean by this is I hope every single person who understand the feeling to these songs may one day feel complete, you all deserve to be happy. Let's keep on fighting until we're there, ok ?

Oh yes. I remember the time when I felt exactly this. Until I became mature enough to realise that this mindset is an absolute BS. What got me out of it was my Aunt, with whom I was always close, getting into a car crash and becoming paraplegic. I was the one most available to help, being a high school age kid with no day job. So I did everything to help, from pushing her wheelchair during walks in the park, to getting groceries, to holding her when she got panic attacks to the point of being suicidal. And taking care of another pulled me out of my own misery enough to face life again. I became "strong for somebody else", if you will. And it stuck. Thank you, Sophia. You'll never know what you did for me, and I'm fine with that.

Wow... wish I'd had this a few days ago to play to the staff when I was in hospital as it describes the torture I suffer on a daily basis. Mental health is something that is still so misunderstood, despite it being 2024. 😢 There still needs so much more education done- especially on illnesses that aren't seen as "severe" (EUPD/BPD; C-PTSD; eating disorders and trauma). Thank you for providing something to hold on to when everything else is crumbling...
