I convinced myself when I was young that I deserve to feel like this, that I deserved the misery. So I feel you. You're not alone. The best thing you can do is stay strong. if not for yourself but for the ones that love you.

So get input from new people. Go out there and be yourself, try something new, make new friends who don't know anything about your history. And find out what they think of you. [Spoiler alert: They don't secretly hate you. They actually think you're a pretty alright sort.] You'll be amazed. I did this and I couldn't believe they were thinking of the same person. I was like... didn't you just spend a week with me? Are you talking about someone else? Don't believe the voice inside your head that tells you no-one will ever like you, because that's a damn lie. Sorry if I'm expressing myself a little strongly, but it's the worst pain ever and it's all based on untruths. No-one should have to endure it.

@@twistedreality997 It was coming from a place of love because he knows that loud noises and angry voices trigger my PTSD. After I told him that listening to someone who understands my pain helps so much, he did his best to understand. Truthfully, I am so glad he doesn't understand. He just loves me through it all.

He obviously cares about them because "he doesn't understand how they can possibly be any good for me". He's not being condescending or showing a red flag, he's just never been in our situation and he's trying to give genuine, good advice. Situations like this is just a muddled cloud of grey, and even if you have the entire context of the situation (unlike a 1 throwaway YT comment in a time when you feel vulnerable) there can still be no clear answer (e.g. go outside, you'll feel better, so you go outside and still feel just as bad. You are going to feel worse if you are inside all day, but going outside won't necessarily make you feel any better. You might feel better, but it didn't work, but hey at least you gave it a shot). See how in an example like this there isn't any clear black or white but instead a muddy grey cloud that you will never get a true answer from? .At the end of the day, the best we can do is be empathetic because we know that the husband is trying to help the best he can

What a story. Thanks for sharing it. You are exactly what we want to be about, a support group for people to strengthen and love eachother through their darkest days. You are amazing for what you have been through and sharing light with others. Never doubt that. Any ideas for what we should write about in 2020? We want our music to represent your journey and would love your ideas :)

You've brought together, thanks to your talent and selflessness, people from very different backgrounds and created a safe place for us to enjoy great music and vent. We will never be able to thank you enough. I truly believe though that it should be normal for people to share experiences and/or advices. I never would want anyone to make the mistakes I made (that's why I shared another story under "Kill my memory") and that's why I speak up and i find hard to see why that makes me "amazing", because it shouldn't. Some friends and I actually went to a journal and testified of what we had lived and witnessed during our time in one of our schools, because we had heard that the same kind of problems were still going on there. You don't have to change anything, your music represents my journey among a lot of others, and I can't sit here and pretend to know what everyone would like to hear about. But I believe that, in the same tone of Buried Alive where it was about people being misunderstood/unheard/mental health problems, a song about being used/taken advantage of could be very cathartic to a lot of people. Because when I first heard "Buried Alive" it automatically drove me (and I assume unfortunately many others) back into my early teenage years (full of bullying, people being manipulative, and sexual assaults to name a few) and it also made me remember how dealing with the consequences of these experiences made me the person I am today. Not necesseraly stronger, but wiser. That's also what made me realize how ephemeral things are (and made me call myself Mayfly, which is a pseudo I use everywhere, especially when I publish writings on the internet). Thank you guys again, a lot. You rock ! Lots of love ♥
