Eco drive IS fantastic! It's so convenient to not having to set the time or worry about changing the battery! The only thing I do is set the date every two months or so and that's it!
I got exactly the same Promaster as yours, altough I have some doubts concerning it. Firs off: mine didn't come inside that mini scuba tank; second: the strap has no decompression graphics printed on it (other models that I researched online does have it); third: the 12h lume dot on the bezel looks kinda bumped compared to other models wich it seems to be flatten out a little; fourth: my bezel has some vertical play as well as some rattling around 6h upon pressing it. I bought it as a BN0151-17L, I think everything looks fine excpet for these little details. What's your perception on it? Do you find it intriguing that our models have these differences in relation to other we see online outta there? Doesn't it bother you? Thanks and cheers!
@@NorthernWatchClub that's what I also came up as a conclusion. The core functionalities and overall looks are all doing fine, the vertical play is not a big issue according to the seller, "it doesn't spoil the water resistance". So that, I chose to keep my _precious_ without concernings.
@@kazenriq I don't have that vertical play on mine though, but it did get stiff at one point and I ran it under lukewarm water and twisted the bezel a couple turns and it got better if that helps
Been looking at the SNE499 and the SRPC41. Both great watches for a 6.5” wrist. If I was to get the SNE499 I too would swap a steel shroud in there as well. I would also go with a black strap. Please post a vid of the watch after you mod it. I also recently picked up the same Citizen but I. The gold color way. What a great watch. I am loving it. Keep up the vids. @@NorthernWatchClub it is also a beauty. I already have the Citizen BN0152-6E so I am content with that color way. Don’t have a Pepsi or PADI in my collection so am looking at the 499 BUT the SRPC41 PADI Mini Turtle is so sexy too. The SNE027 (Arnie Pepsi) is the other finalist for my next dive watch but the 50mm lug to lug might be too big for my 6.5” wrist. Ah the hunt. I love it sooo much.

Own both (golden SNE498). Prefer the Seiko, which has perfect alignment like the Citizen. Both are quality pieces. Citizen bezel is a bit easier for long sleeves. Seiko looks a bit higher end to me, but not mistaken for a real Tuna 300m. Similar accuracy. Both on Zulu straps. I don’t mind the lightweight plastic shroud of the Seiko. Citizen is probably a better value. As much as I love mechanical watches, the solars are better every day watches than mechanicals. More accurate. Arguably tougher. The main reason I like the Seiko is because it modelled after my favourite watch, the ‘Golden Tuna 1000m’, but is a LOT more wearable.
Listen to me. This dial is absolutely sensational. This is the best dial on the market today and it makes every other watch dial look dull and boring. The only way this dial can be beat, is if they make a dial that moves and changes backgrounds, because this dial already looks like it does. I would describe this dial as mother of pearl meets aurora borealis but cooler, more dynamic and nicer colour. I would improve it with an AR coated sapphire crystal. This dial is reminiscent of my childhood, pressing my thumb against this darkened surface, perhaps it was a mood sensing thing, that with the heat of your finger would change to difference hues of purple to blue to green.. I actually bought yesterday from a Jewellery store in Montreal and it's on my wrist right now.
I need to know all the bracelet options for this thing. I have it on a blue rubber dive strap now. Looks pretty good. Obviously there is the islander option, like you posted about four $10,000 cnd dollars.
Nice watches both of them. But for me that stupid date complication ruins it all. And at 4 o clock?? It looks bad!!! Who the hell need the date when they dive? Who the hell need the date complication today, period????? It`s a shame that so many watches today come with date complication. So to all manufacturers, educate people and remove that stupid complication that 0.001% want.......
