@@jani00 this is correct. It's because the rubber material on those pedals are super grippy and so as his presses down on the throttle pedal, it lifts his heel off the heel rest. If the pedal face was smooth instead with less friction against his shoe, he'd be able to apply throttle whilst gliding the contact point of his foot on the pedal so his heel remains on the heel rest. I know this because I have tried this very same pedal set and found this to be an issue with them vs other pedal sets.

He was re-adjusting the position of his foot. He was too far up the pedal for his liking, so it’s just a way to move the foot down while not getting of the gas.

My theory is that he is just used a very strong set of pedals. Pushing the accelerator to 100% is actually really hard to do in real F1 Cars so he just twists his ankle to apply force. But i could be wrong!
