Dhr. Eberg, gids van het Nederlands Waterleidingmuseum, vertelt op Pompstation Soestduinen hoe de Citroën HY vroeger werd gebruikt in het waterleidingbedrijf van de Provincie Utrecht. De HY deed dienst tot begin jaren 80. De BE-22-22 is in 2006 authentiek gerestaureerd door liefhebbers die werkzaam zijn bij de afdeling materieelbeheer van het waterleidingbedrijf Vitens.

But how beautiful the practicality of everything, those long hinges (on the CV2 as well) will never wear out. How thorough the French engineers create a vehicle; it's a work of art !

Nice :) I see a Type HY today in my hometown in hungary, that was beautiful restaured, and it has a Louis De Funes - grendarme airbush painted on its back door :)))

Wow.... magnificent car The best car in the world is wonderful ... I have memories with it when I was young with my father, may God have mercy on him .... This car was with the Moroccan police in the late sixties, we call it al-washma or al-faraqa in Arabic hahaha

Wunderbar. Citroen HY , Renault estafette, Ford Transit ich kann nicht verstehen warum der VW T1 - 3 so begehrt sind. Die drei sind wahre Transporter. Der Mann liebt sein Auto.

Hi , I have a modele 1968 one in my farm, a part from the chassis, I can say the vehicle is in bad form, is there any possibility to make it new ? The Diesel motor iand the cabine destroyed ... Just some rear and front transmission system.

Lovely condition and still a working van earning its keep.. And very French. IE simple quirky different. Pull out draws. Window lock rods and sliding side panels only Citroën would do that.. Has it got hydro suspension.

TRUTH, no oleopneumatic suspension. It's a truck. Three-main bearing ID19-like motor of the pattern of the TA motor. Very practical, low floor step-up in the rear. Beam axle in the rear. Most were worn out, beat to death, rusted out work vans. A few have been well maintained or even restored. A few made it to the USA.

Een Ferrari of een Rolls Royce, fijn dat ze er zijn, maar zij ontroeren mij niet. Daarentegen krijg ik telkens als ik een Citroën HY zie vochtige ogen van gelukzaligheid. Kan ik niet uitleggen, het is gewoon zo.
