One important thing you missed is they gonna have only one variant in each seating options So that leaves with pricing assumption that they will target base and second base variant of competition There is no way they can price at 15 lakh ex showroom, if they do i think they start packing bags to France next year
My friend who works for Citroen hinted an onroad price of 12-13 lakh and it would have only one variant....Also automatic will be out only next year which would have torque around 210 nm...They Dynoed it already in Pune
Why you buy a car in order of priority - 1. Ride comfort - should not fatigue you else no use of buying a personal car 2. Space factor - should have ample storage space and passenger space 3. Riding dynamics - for fun while driving 4. Safety Rest all other things in the car doesn't make a car. It adds to it. People are ignoring 1,2,3 and 4 or compromising on it to buy features. One may go for features but should not compromise on 4 points mentioned above. Have driven- Creta, seltos, Carens, vitara, Hyrder, Taigun, Kushaq, elevate, astor I must say Aircross rules at 1, 2, and 3 points but 4 is unclear simply because it is not tested yet. Buy a car first then go for features. Citroen didn't offer features because they had to give you a car first at an affordable price. Only plastic material can be a little better. PS - the next best car would be Carens because it also offers 1,2 and 3
It's very simple, the research of critreon as a company is very poor when it comes to the India market. Can't they see companies like Kia came with a bang with a very good feature Oriented car like seltos. This kind of company (Citroen) doesn't deserve Indian deep pocket customers.
There’s definitely a lot of work to be done. If they can match their ride and drive package with a features and quality package that’s as good, they can take the market by storm. Indians aren’t budget conscious, we are value conscious.
Allow the guy to answer properly before asking next question. He was about the say about difference in 2nd row for 5 and 7 seat variant. You pushed him by asking about the 3rd row and he totally forgot to say the difference. So the difference are No arm rest for 7 seater One for the variant can recline
Only single variant never gives you the opportunity to capture the market share. You need to give options to cater to various kinds of users with varied requirements
I think what should be given more thought is its can also fill the gap of sub 4 meter SUVs. It is going to be a very VFM product if its prices starts below 10 lakhs and goes upto 12.5ish lakhs considering a lakh plus for the automatic upgrades. people considering an XM+ Nexon or a VXI Brezza could be targeted by this 4.3 mtr SUV
Sadly a perfect opportunity missed by Citroen! Coz it looks like they already got the Design, Ride, & Engine Sorted! If they had paid little attention to some of the important aspects like Safety & Features offered by competition (Seltos or Kushaq or at least Elevate) & an Automatic Transmission, Then this could have been a hallmark product for Citroen in India. As Zigwheels rightly mentioned , We Indians are Value Oriented, rather than Budget Oriented.
Do you think buying this over xl6 zeta is gona offer value? Xl6 zeta mind u is approx 11.5 L ex shoroom . I feel this has to be atleast a lakh bellow that ex showroom to make sense
Don't you guys think that you guys are lacking a lot behind nowadays. It can be a good match up with somebody who's going to be spending 12+lacs RS for a venue sonet or Nexon. A 7 seater can work as a 5 but a 5 will never be able to work as a 7 seater. You guys being "automative generalists" talk more about features than the drive quality and the engines. Talk more about the ICEs before EVs take over and you guys have nothing to talk about. Why are people asking for your apparent opinion if you're not going to be appreciating a car for its ride quality and drive quality. Either think performance or features. Lazy
