I found a chip on the windscreen and I finally got round to getting it fixed before it turned into a crack which would've necessitated a replacement windscreen. Fortunately, I have windscreen cover on my insurance so it was just a matter of contacting their windscreen repairer of choice (National Windscreens in this case) to book an appointment. I wasn't going to make a video of this but the engine had to be started to open one of the windows and I just left the engine idling. This meant that the dashcam was recording which was how I was able to capture the repair process on video. I hope that it isn't too boring. I tried to cut out the bits where nothing was happening. The chip is still visible after the repair but it won't get any worse. The windscreen guy showed me a repair that had been done on his van which was visible and hasn't got any worse. Some insurers offer a free repair but mine (Hastings Direct) charged a £25 excess for the repair which is better than the £85 they charge for a windscreen replacement.
