★シトロエン DS21に関して
シトロエンが1955年から1975年までの約20年間製造した、アッパーミドルクラスの乗用車である。
当時としては極めて先進的なボディデザインに、独自の油圧機構で統括制御する「ハイドロニューマチック・システム」を搭載、航空機の設計思想が随所に見られ、車体重心は前に、空力重心は後部に、という弓矢のような重量配分もサスペンション構成とともに直進安定性に寄与している。
斬新なインパネに、ソファーのように身体が沈み込むゆったりとしたシートとの組み合わせによって、「船のような」等と形容される独特の乗り心地が実現された。
駆動方式はFF、搭載される直列4気筒OHVエンジンは、2175ccの排気量から最高出力109psを発揮した。

This is an upper middle class passenger car manufactured by Citroen for about 20 years from 1955 to 1975.
At that time, the "hydropneumatic system", which is controlled by an original hydraulic mechanism, was installed in an extremely advanced body design. The weight distribution like the bow and arrow also contributes to the straight running stability as well as the suspension configuration.
In combination with a novel instrument panel and a spacious seat that sinks like a sofa, a unique ride that is described as “ship-like” has been realized.
The driving system is FF, and the in-line 4-cylinder OHV engine installed has a maximum output of 109ps from a displacement of 2175cc.
