Nun das kommt erstmal drauf an welche Nockenwellen verbaut werden oder sind. Dann sollte man sich natürlich die Frage stellen, was habe ich vor bzw wo bin ich unterwegs. Meine Empfehlung für den XU7JP4 ist ganz klar die erste Variante. Meinetwegen auch mit den originalen hüben in OT . Dazu gibt es ja auch schon ein Video. Der hub im OT Charakteristik letztlich den Motor....und natürlich die gesamt-Gradzahl der jeweiligen Nockenwelle. Wenig Hub im OT also wenig Überschneidung bedeutet relativ viel Drehmoment in den unteren bis mittleren Drehzahlen....eine hohe Überschneidung bedeutet genau das Gegenteil...dafür hat er obenrum mehr Leistung da der Brennraum sich effektiv besser füllen kann. Man sollte es mit den originalen Nockenwellen deswegen nicht übertreiben so das man einen guten Kompromiss aus zwei Welten hat .

You gave a pretty big help regarding my 306 xu7jp4, hope I can acquire every component and put it to good use! (car is already making 140 hp with xu10j4rs intake and exhaust manifold and rail, 60mm exhaust with resonator and muffler, and still running stock ecu and injectors)
@@CitroenXantia yes they do! if it wasn't for the subtitles i wouldn't understand anything! Yes, i am still driving the stock control unit from the xu7jp4! But my car is from 1997/10, and the control unit is a sagem, an SL96, which runs three rows of pins, while the bosch ones run 2 set of pins, so i think that wont work! my idea was to convert my wiring harness from 97 to 96! and in that way i can install a bosch ecu, as long as everything works! the problem with the sagem ecu is that it is rubber coated, so it is not accesible, at all! unless you take a razor and peel of the rubber, but doing that is risking bricking my ecu! if it was accesible i would take it to a chip tuner and that would be no problem... thats why i was asking you! And i am still running stock internals! stock cams, stock valves, stock ecu and stock injectors! stock everything basically, besides the peripherals
@@Tguedes98 Yes, the Bosch ECU is the better choice .... it is simpler and there are many other injectors ..... install the inlet camshaft from the RS ..... then something really happens. In addition, the ECU from the XU10J4r + injectors + throttle valve from the 2.0i 8V ... then it runs really well. I'm just having my ECU adjusted, let's see what that brings ... I hope that he has 130-140 PS with the components ... that would be great and that would be enough for 950Kg
@@CitroenXantia i'm pretty sure it will make more than that mate! as I said my car made 140hp still running stock cams! only peripherals from gti (manifolds and throtle) and full stainless exhaust I'll be lookin into buying the bosch unit from the XU10J4r + injectors + wiring harness! Do you think that the wiring harness will fit just fine? i mean no inventing with the wires, just plug n play?
yes they fit .... I would install the RS camshaft on the inlet side and the XU10J4R camshaft on the outlet side ..... and new standard valve springs .... but the old ones will also work if they still have enough power
Hi, It is possible to mount the RS Camshaft without the risk of the valve touching the piston because of the single spring.? I have read that in many places but you have it and it's working.... I have XU7JP4 head but XU10J4R block.
in the combination I have not tried it yet ..... Since the cylinder heads of the XU10J4R and XU7JP4 are relatively the same, I assume that it fits. But first I would install the inlet camshaft from the RS and the exhaust camshaft from the J4r to be safe ...... it is important that the camshafts are correctly measured. I don't have anything on the piston, there is enough space
Hi, I have this project for my xu7jp4: I would like to swap the head with a xu10j4rs head, and use a speeduino engine management, which can cost around 150euros Do you think it could work? What would be the difficulties for doing this? Your videos are very helpful BTW, thanks
@@CitroenXantia it's a xt 306 from 2000 with the sl96 ecu, there is some info about this swap on the 205gti UK forums and a dyno curve (result : 165hp with the configuration I am talking about) and apparently no issues, but not much details
Gude, Ich hab einen Peugeot 306 mit einem XU7JP4 und die Gasannahme ist für meinen Geschmack sehr verzögert. Gibts da irgendwas einfaches, was man tun kann, um das besser zu machen? Dann wär da noch die Frage, wo man am besten nach einer Einlassnockenwelle vom XU10J4R sucht. Hab grade geschaut und das einzige, was ich finden kann, ist eine neue Nockenwelle für 500 Euro, was mir allerdings zu teuer wäre. Gibts da auch günstigere Alternativen? Schonmal Danke im Voraus :D
Moin......in wie fern verzögert? Eigentlich ist der Steno XU7JP4 recht zackig am Start....was in jedem Fall hilft ist die die Nockenwelle ( Einlass ) vom XU10J4R ( 2,0i 16V ). Die sind auch deutlich günstiger. Es reicht wenn er nur die Einlass Nockenwelle bekommt....Auslass kann original bleiben. Der Effekt ist in jedem Fall spürbar. Ja RS Nockenwellen sind teuerer da heißt es suchen und dranbleiben....irgendwann läuft Dir eine günstige über den weg....ich habe fast zwei Jahre auf ein passendes Angebot gewartet....ansonsten besteht natürlich die Frage ob dein 1.8er vernünftig läuft.....sprich sind die richtigen Kerzen drin .....passt der Zahnriemen im OT ....sind die Sensoren alle i.O. sind Einspritzdüsen i.O. passt der Kraftstoffdruck ist die Ansaugbrücke dicht....usw.
hallo ich habe eine frage es geht um Einspritzdüsen ich habe peugeot 406 1.8 16v 110 "xu7jp4" baujahr 1997, Das Auto hat Einspritzdüsen von bosch genau wie deine aber blau ,und das steuergerät bosch mp5.1.1 89 baujahr 96 ist das kompatibel überhaupt oder soll man sagem kaufen?
Ich habe das Auto so gekauft, und ich weiß nicht ob jemand hat die einspritzdüse gewechselt, weil das auto läuft unruhig, ich habe alles gewechselt von Sensoren pump Filter alles es gibt nichts mehr zu tun trotzdem der Motor ist nicht stabil am Leerlauf und Auspuff pops jede paar Sekunden
@@yousefsarikozal2195 Sprüh mal mit Bremsenreinieger die Ansaugbrücke ab......die ziehen gerne mal Falschluft am Zylinderkopf oder von unten im Bereich der Unterdruckschläuche.....wenn er dann in der Drehzahl hoch geht weißte bescheid. Leerlaufsteller ist neu? Mapsensor neu?
