Much better placed, but the loss of Merino, and then Odegaard, puts a bit of a kink in that. City's loss of Rodri kind of evens things a bit, but Arsenal have to find their creative flow until MO returns.
Since when does an opponent suggest how another opponent should play. Why should Arsenal play in a way that suit City? Pep and his players must learn to deploy tactics that work, not cry over how an opponent should play football. No one complains about their style of play last time I checked, but in football, there is not only 1 way of playing, focus on your game plan and let the other team focus on theirs. Don't cry when your game plan fails, work on deploying better tactics to beat your opponent.
To be honest, we have done it. And we were ripped apart. Mikel is not falling for it. I suspect, he even drilled the team to defend with 10 men in the training. His move from 5-4 to 6-3 was quick and effective. Not easy for an attacking player like Gabi to adapt and so well in quick time. They were drilled.
If we attacked them City would have put 5 past Raya and Haaland would be going around shaking hands saying "you should be proud of your performances" 😂 Their boos means nothing. I have seen what made them cheer.
2009 to 2019 - They said Arsenal was soft, lacked no leaders/ no "ball", and the made fun of them. 2020 to 2021 - They said Arsenal have bottled their only chance of getting into the top 4 and the continued laughing. 2022 to 2023 - They said Arsenal bottled their chance of winning the league and that it was a fluke. Next season, they realised Arsenal is there to stay and started bitting their fingers. 2024: Arsenal has gone unbeatten, playing away to Villa, Spurs, and Man City. Now they are worried and scared of Arsenal. Arteta IQ is insane, and he takes players with high IQ and skills. He deploys matrix football such that no one except his team knows what to do. Pundits and FA/referees can't figure it out so they are pained.
They called Arsenal Wenger's team soft but now they're angry at us for showing grit and passion. They used to surround and bully Ramsdale and score from corners, told our keeper to get stronger, now they're angry that we do the same to their keepers. Last season their player mocked our mentality for celebrating a 0-0 draw at Etihad but they celebrated a 2-2 draw at their own ground whilst we were down to 10 men. “It’s fine that people hate us, it’s part of our history”- Arsenal manager George Graham
Actually I give an excellent to Mikel for the work he has done at arsenal he deserves 👏👏👏👏 but the only question is he going to buy a striker during the January transfer window?! I would prefer Gyokokeres not victor osmen! For sure arsenal is lacking a full attacker. John from the country's of the athousand hills city Kigali Rwanda FOR GOD, GOOD AND MY COUNTRY ( VISIT RWANDA)
Literally ALL of the SO-CALLED football experts, pundits & journalists have not realised AFTER the ref blew his whistle Trossard WAS passing the ball across the field for Martinelli to run onto! He had City players closing in on him which IS why he kicked the ball in the air to Martinelli, watch where the ball lands! FFS Watch the highlights again carefully people. 🍻
Surprised by their reaction tbh. Very childish. Haven't seen a team fustrate them like that in a long time. Heck they celebrated a draw something they said they would never do lol.
Arteta, your boys play dirty football thinking they could win City, I’ll have you know that you will not win any trophies and will end up down the table, Arsenal is just not good enough.
