Gaiac is my favorite Le Labo, followed by Poivre and Mousse de Chene. I was sleeping on the freshie Limette though. The dry down of Limette is very interesting. Also I’m interested in Bigarade (next year) 😎
Eugen has gone Le Labo loco. If ever you needed our help... it's now, before it's too late. Next time you pass a Le Labo counter, just say 'No'. You can do it Eugen, we're with you. #wackpack
I have Musc 25 and picked up Citron 28 - it’s beautiful!!! It has a huge jasmine heart and the lemon lingers in the background thru the entire scent. Give it a chance! I’d also like to hear ur review of Tonka 25.
I picked up Poivre and am mulling over 1 more before the end of the month but unsure at the moment - would probably be Benjoin if I did. I noticed you’ve picked up a bottle of Poivre and would love to see your thoughts on that.
Thank you for telling us about your journey. I'm currently going through the same type of process of self discovery - who I am beneath all the triggers. That really resonated with me. Take a look at "RAIN" - recognize, accept, investigate, non-attach. There are several different variations for the acronym but it amounts to the same thing.
I enjoyed mousse de chene quite a bit but it was too soft off my skin. Was hoping for something with a bit more ‘oomph’ for lack of a better word. Great video as usual, Eugenius!
Tried a couple of the City exclusives recently, and they just don't do it for me. The City exclusives are a bit nicer, but the pricing is crazy on them. Overall, i can't pull the trigger, haven't smelled one where i thought it would be worth it. I would pick up a City exclusive or two for regular prices, but in that price category, i can get better things to be honest. My impression of the brand is not positive, great business model though, they are successful with their vision and implementation.
How's the gaiac 10 now after months of use? Me still waiting magic or miracle happens.lol. that cologne is the faintest and weakest ive ever experienced. Any tip on how to make it work?thanks.
HaHAA.. DoorJAM!! (a pure pick me-up for me... Humor is the best elixir;). On a more serious note, your fellow contact tracers in da bldg. will demand some blowback, each time you storm troop the poor door. .. No security deposit return for you, Perfume Bully. Btw, I’m wearing, LE lion 😁
City Exclusives are MUCH better than their main line IMO, Cuir, Gaiac, Tabac, Poivre are absolutely great. Gaiac is another permutation of Menardo's formula, and looks like a flanker of Bois d'Argent and Bois d'Armenie
To be honest, I just love Le Labo, more than Byredo. They have one of the most unique smells and I got asked what I was wearing all the time. They just have soul.
A sales associate came up to me today with a blotter of CUIR 28 while I was looking at Frederic Malle and asked me to smell it, so I essentially was blind-smelling it. It seemed smokey and woody, and I could smell some layers to it. It was better than I remembered my first encounter with it. I'm very glad for that experience, because I had dismissed it initially! The sales associate kept telling me it was "Dubai!" 😂
Of the regular line baie 19 & another 13 are superb imo after that patch 24, bergamote 22 & vetiver 46 are all decent but I’ve yet to try any of the city exclusives but i have to say i do like the brand & don’t understand the hate not least when their are brands like parfums de marly getting over hyped.
I love how Peole are afraid to say or admit that everyone is a “conspiracy theorist “ and don’t know what worlds mean . Spells and words have meaning .
Maybe you can’t get a grasp of different notes as you smell a bunch of fragrances because you have literally wiped a concoction of different fragrances on your nose.
So basically Eugen buys 100ml samples 😁😁.Jokes aside, you get a lot of sh** for buying perfumes you don't necessarily "like" or whatever is. The bottom line is that your passion for fragrances is your own personal escape from daily life. Live it however you feel like living it. I really appreciate your honesty and passion that transpires in your videos. I also really like the fact that you don't follow the other youtube fragrance trends and do your own thing without caring of getting views. You do quality content for fragrance nerds and I love it. Keep doing your thing!
From the labels you can see that most of these new acquisitions are purchased in September 2020. Amazed as to how much $ was spent! This is a reoccurring curiosity in the fragrance community. How one spends so much on fragrances!? I’m no slouch myself when it comes to amount of money I spend on this hobby but there will always be others who spend more.
@@jkbsdasf I mostly buy 10 ML travel sprays or 9Ml decant from scent split because no way in hell I can use 50 ml when I have 100 bottles. The only time I buy 50 ML when I can't find the scent on scent split
and some people spend thousands in a year to cigarettes, alcohol and stuff. Some people buy cars, some shoes and yes there are also people who likes fragrances. Why someone always has to mention the money part is a thing that annoys me as it already should be very obvious that fragrances do cost money and when it's someone's passion, it's not measured just in money.
