Twelve resident Cormorant on the River Wear at Milburngate weir, Durham City, UK. The birds gather to take advantage of the fish counter and weir that controls the flow of the river.
@boxtie I suppose it does, just like most things in life, I was at Tunstall Reservoir the other day & the angling club would like all anglers to take the first trout but many are just letting them go, as very few people like to eat them. More food for the Osprey etc,,,
suppose it depends on your preference, cull them and save the fish for the anglers.......cos they are voracious and apparently they will empty The Wear in nee time.....if ya divent like fish like..well it's fine...........encourage breeding for the birds..
