I discovered CityAlight when I entered into seminary, we would sing their songs in our chapel services. Since then, I have fallen in love with CityAlight. Such theologically rich songs! You can tell that the songs are not driven solely by emotion and my thoughts on God, but rather defines such things through scripture. Bravo!

Sure I have experienced the love of Christ ,what I have seen is JESUS's love never fails and it is pure some time I go away from His presence but for His love He Holds me back to His love again Who is like JESUS honestly!!

Dont know about you guys...hard to listen to the chorus without weeping...a clear understand of Him. Still love this song 7 years later still at the top of playlist. Not sure who is leading/singing but its likely humility is just pouring out of her :-)
I watched a very small clip of them singing at Sing 2022. It's as if they purposefully were trying to draw attention away from themselves - she had no makeup, very humble dress- t-shrt and Jeans. To be honest, I was trying to figure out who is that band that's singing because I didn't recognize her right away. And then when I realized who it was, just like you, I realized, FIGURES!!!!! Pray for her and pray for them!!!! A jewel in this generation that group is!
@@haroldgeernian9816 I am glad there's nothing to find about her on the internet. Keeps us focused on who's the most important person, our Lord and Savior rather than mere man. I am 100% sure it's intentional the way they do not try to have a whole lot of online presence
@@asinegaasinega Yup I agree and I love it. They give just enough info out to let us know their theology, but otherwise seem super humble and Christ-centered. The church has a podcast and I listened to several of them. One had her in it, and she emphasized getting out of the way so people see Jesus. She illustrated it as the worship leader is a sign on the road that points to Jesus.
Really appreciating CityAlight. Great that this one adds to the comparatively small list of your ‘corporate’ songs. For congregational singing, don’t ‘we’, our’ and ‘ours’ lyrics build the body of Christ more clearly than ‘I’, ‘me’ and ‘mine’? I wonder what others think…
