Beverly: So, Lauren, get us started by telling us what Vision Zero is.
Lauren: Sure, yeah. So Vision Zero is a commitment to end traffic deaths and serious injuries on our roadways, and improve safety and mobility for everyone, regardless of how they travel. So people walking, biking, driving, hopping on a scooter, taking the bus. However people travel, we wanna improve street safety for all modes. And Vision Zero is the goal to ensure that safety for everybody. So, it is a shift from how we've traditionally thought about transportation. When we think about transportation, we might think about solving congestion or traffic. Vision Zero is really prioritizing safety of everybody on our roadways over some of those other objectives.
