Civ6 3x Slinger Start - Is it any good? 

I see some people talking about a 3x slinger start as the best way to get to an early military and wanted to put it to the test.
While it's overall cheaper to build a slinger and upgrade it to an archer, is it really the best way to build an early military?
I run 4 different civilizations through building 3x slingers and compare that to running a single slinger, then settler, then 2 archers to see how things come out.
