@@martinbenko8969 dude if you have a limiter and everything else (oil pump, etc) you need to reach that rpm then there's nothing to worry about lmao Thing is, it doesn't matter how crusty or on a budget a car is. A check engine light is always annoying and 90% of the time can be cleared with a simple fix :)
@@hotdogy12345 e85 eats up the float sensors in gas tanks making it seem like every car that runs it is on empty, except they actually just put X amount of gas for every Y amount of miles driven so they know where the gas tank sits without the needle working If this guy is driving a built and tuned turbo civic, he’s probably also tuned for running e85 for better and safer gains or maybe he was actually just low on gas
@@lisaabassoo5392 bruh tf you talking about? VTEC is VVT+VVL, and no they're not the same thing, unless you're talking about VVTL-I which is also VVT+VVL
You said it has stock pistons and you are running some serious boost. Is the car running still? Must be a really good tune usually those crappy stock pistons melt like plastic
when the car had only 1,2bar boost it was stable with stock pistons. but after increasing the boost to 1,5bar, the piston ring grooves breaks after a time, but didn't melt the piston.. So it is recommended to use forged pistons with this amount of boost.
very different. R18 has a longer stroke for fuel econ and so, less revs. best comparison to an R series is the D series. in the same vein, K series compares best to B series
B20 has thinner sleeves and tends to crack under significant power, if you're planning on all motor, b20 would be nice with a vtec head, really good torqe and high end, but for boost, I'd recommend the 18, but in the end it's your choice
Sounds nice, but how much faster is it ACTUALLY compared to a standard car? I just have a normal car and I feel like 20-100 in 3-4 seconds is pretty standard
You probably drive an M series or a dodge charger/challenger because 90's civics had single cam d series only making 110-120 hp crank. This right here is boost by gear, so he doesn't have full power in every gear and not only that he b18 swapped with a turbo so I'd say 350-450 with this man's setup. Pretty fast to me considering civics weigh really light and don't need 500+ to keep up with modern cars
Late reply, but I just have a 2005 corolla Sportivo hatchback. It's nothing special and isn't really a car to mod, but can get to 100 in 4-5 seconds which is why I'm confused bc all cars can do that. I'm talking 100km/h tho, so maybe that's why I'm confused, and I'm not that knowledgeable of cars. Is the Civic faster in terms of how high the boost kicks the speed up each shift? rather than a more slow, consistent build of speed that you'd get in a regular car? Ik I sound dumb as shit rn, so please educate me😂
boost by gear... sebesség fokozat függő turbónyomás. azaz minden sebességi fokozatban olyan nyomás van amit beállítok a csippben. 1-2ben felesleges volt a nagy nyomás, csak kapart igy is. 3-4ben már volt akkora tapadás, hogy nem kapart nagyon.
You can do boost by gear on anything just have to make sure your engine can handle the amount of power you want to push out of it so if youre aiming past like 250 youd def want to so that it doesnt blow up on you one day
@@silverrain99205 i would consider strongly if it is worth it, the em2 isnt worth much and never will be. it might be smart to go a generation back and build up the d16, there is a lot more info on building a d as well.
