I've enjoyed watching this , and gained some new information on the Kennesaw battle. Thanks so much, a book I've been reading about Sherman's advance towards Atlanta, doesn't go into detail very much about each battle. This has been very helpful!! 😊

Corporal Sam Watkins, not Colonel Sam Watkins. Enlisted as a private, he was never commissioned.

My great great grandfather and my 3xgreat uncle both in the 32nd Tennesseee Infantry CSA fought at Kennessaw Mountain June 27 1864

Don't forget that under the United States Flag thousands of Native Americans were murdered and in 1945 thousands of innocent Japanese citizens lost their lives to the Atomic Bomb at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in order that the US win World War II which in my opinion was completely unnecessary

Most of the reenactors in this are a solid 3/10. Lionheart usually has better footage of detailed living historians, not obviously elderly female cannoneers in center frame.

The amount of casualties suffered in that war in a single day dwarf decades of modern battles. It seems unlikely such tiny numbers in the modern world will remain true when a leader decides to return to real fighting for real victory again instead of the murderous stand offs since WW2. When that time comes be sure all the old ways of full war will return along with unprecedented killing to match the world's larger population. God help us all in that time to come.
