The last part made me cry... When the soldier said we have faith in God and I don't think he will allow us to be defeated.. MAY THE SOUL OF THE DEPARTED REST IN PEACE AND MAY WE FIGHT ON FOR THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN....
Dave Basil, Rev 7:4 , Rev 1:14 is connected to this. The British media house requested for 144,000 parcels and were sent 1,444,000 parcels. The used the cotton and wool money to pay for it. I read all this things bro. We are the people of the bible, we are suffering the curses placed on our forefather's in Deuteronomy 28:1_68. Let's us come out from all this Pagan Christian worship and go by to the God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the old testament God.
the standard of education and fluency of English spoken is quite a marvel amongst 90% of the Igbos interviewed here . my heart goes out to many that lost Their lives...
The British Government of today still plays a shameful role as the same Nigerian army which metamorphosed from the slave hunting terror group unleash terror on innocent people while the British Government who are their sponsors look the other way.No one can say what the British gains from bloodshed, violence, slavery and subjugation of Biafra with their Fulani and Yoruba foot soldiers.
@@badboybrizzy5702 An American company based in Switzerland created the story my guy google am. Atrocities were committed on both sides of the war but there was no basis for the genocide allegation, eve when Nigerian forces pulled out of Owerri they followed by refugees, 13years after the war an ibo man was vp, even in military rule an ibo officer who fought in Biafran navy was vp so what are you abusing me for? stop deceiving yourself
Yes God bless them. However, Gowon wanted to send food with a land convoy Ojukuwu refused yet he and his confederates ate well throughout while so many others in Biafra made money off their fellow Igbos suffering through selling donated food and in the end Ojukwu left his starving flock while the wholesale genocide he predicted never occurred
As I child in Biafra in 1969, I ate some of the foods donated and flewn into Biafra by courageous people. It would have been more effective to avoid that brutal war in the first place. Nothing good came from that Civil War, in my opinion.
Let the next war start, we will see where the war front will be. It won’t be in umuahia, Aba, Onitsha, Enugu, I guarantee this. There will be a revenge and the war will get to Daura, Kano, Kaduna. Definitely will NOT be one sided anymore. For those telling the Biafrans to remember how it was, yes they remember and there will be a revenge.
Do you enough resources to cover the land from Umuahia to Daura? You.are beginning to lose the war again. You are too bitter, try and use your brains for once.
It feels like the reporters were actively trying to sabotage their resistance first by talking about the ammunition planes and second by insisting the guy tell them where they get their money from even after he said 'if I tell you where we get it from the people fighting us will be able to take it away.' that all together with Britain's culpability in the war makes it feel like a deliberate strategy
After all this, you never still get sense, you still dey follow kanu wey dey London dey shout biafra, don't worry, a child who is dancing the insurugede dance on eke, Market day, forget that the dance are for the spirit, should be prepared to stand the wrut of the spirit
they weren't wasted, they fought for what they believed in and that proves them not cowards, don't forget that you too will die some day and also waste to the dust of the earth now what is the different between you and them?
Biafra born heroes! highly knowledgeable, intelligent and brave. This is why we remember our fallen heroes every 30th May. It makes me wonder, why didn’t Uk prime minister Wilson in 1967 work with the United States like they have worked together on other matters to secure a Ban on arms, Uk government leader disregarded United States decision not to sell arms to the Nigerians and continued to supply them with ammunition’s Despite the large quantities of arms, but they still didn’t win the war as they claimed they would win in one week, it took 30months Very heavy losses inflicted in the battles by both sides. The flower of Nigerian manhood destroyed and millions of Biafrans died of hunger, the most ghastly form of human torture. This war was hideous and unjust, it helped encourage a huge legacy of bitterness, pain and hatred, added to all the other volatile factors which have kept Nigeria in such difficulty in past and recent years.
Because Biafra of then had loyalty, committed and genuine in their approach, too many dishonest men that don’t know where they stand currently exist in human form in Biafra of today
Despite I was not born then . watching this makes me so so sad.i will not take it easy seeing any British citizen talking rubbish in Biafra land when Biafra comes
Yeah good idea! Time to put your heads together to start thinking again to start the war, good idea to put your civilians through hell again, only to blame it on others.
Nigeria will also not forgive biafran traitors who killed Nigerias first prime minister Tafewa Balewa, and Saudana!! the killing of those great men! was the cause of all biafran troubles till this day
The problem in Nigeria isn't solved till today,....we pray for no more war in Nigeria again. The separation should be peacefully. We are not one people
What ever that comes from God we take were never difited my brother you all do the needful thing at the right time may your souls rest in peace but Nigeria will have us to contend with
No, never will I resort to war to resolve a disagreement. This is sad. Look at the women and children. God touch our leaders. This must not repeat itself.
Chineke so biafrans made oil refineries yet Nigeria has none after 62 years at least not working but in the three years of biafra they had refineries no wonder Britain loves Nigeria so much
British can never have any embassy in Biafra land and our citizen will be band from entering British because killed many of our brothers, sisters and parents
@@aoo2645 he believed it he proudly fought the enemies. If not the help the enemies got from British government Biafran would have defeated the enemies.
biafra stands for a work of conditions that are still current to this day, fear, death, hunger, desert, and drought and the despair of the poor countries, that which actually occurs in all countries and or can still occur.
I am ashamed of this country and I continue to marvel at human wickedness and the insensitivity of the International community to the sufferings of innocent children, more especially as there has not been any change to the lopsided scheme of things.
Because you are looking at half history. This was was started by Igbos, the killing of northern leaders in 1966, and their families. They were civilians, it’s uncalled for. So when the repercussions started, no one but ojukwu could stop it by surrendering
Don't start a fight you cannot finish. Hope a lesson has been learnt and Nnamdi Kanu IPOB don't start kick the war again. Peace to all loving Nigerians.
In your dream. Just let hope and pray there is no war again and that things are settled through dialog. If your people start a new war again, consider it the end of Igbo tribe in Nigeria. No second chance will be given to your people.
-- 'Whatever that comes out of God's will we take.' -- 'Indluding defeat?' -- 'No, I don't think God will allow us to be defeated.' That's actually a quite alert response.
General Ojukwu went to war to fast without thorough preparation. Biafra didn't not loose the war however they failed to achieve independence because of poor preparation by their leaders. There's no such thing as Nigeria. Biafra Republic will remain in the minds of the Igbos as long as the hausa dominated federal government refuse to change their wickedness. Igbos must unite and stop killing each other but start economic and social empowerment of fellow Igbos.
Stanley Rome so he should have ended the war long before his people started starving. azikwe was more realistic and loved his people better. He realised the futility of war and quickly changed sides.-persuaded Ojukwu to do the same. Salutes to Azikwe
@@irmamah.1425 Remember Ojujwu was a soldier and his mindset will be different from zik.. Zik wanted one Nigeria but it seemed like it wasn't working out so Ojujwu felt the easterners should be on their own,now is it a crime to want to be on your own?
Stanley Rome yes it is a crime. It is a crime and a selfish one too. You have to weigh your pros and cons before making a move. --you cannot just rush into a war, without thinking. Otherwise you only end up hurting your own people. - which is what Ojukwu did. Salutes to Azikwe for having the wisdom to want to save his people, from an even more humiliating defeat.
This day I envoke the power of God almighty that came to rescue the Israelis in the middle of red Sea and Egyptian army's when the world denied Israelite to come to our aids in times like this, and prove to the world that he remains the i am
biafra staat voor een werk van toestanden die op deze dag nog steeds actueel zijn, angst, dood, honger, woestijn, en droogte en de wanhoop der arme landen, dat wat eigenlijk in alle landen voorkomt en of nog kan voor komen.
The Countries that offered relief were not the only ones guilty of "prolonging" the war. 1. Ifeajuna and three fellow officers - Victor Banjo, Phillip Alale and Sam Agbam - were accused by Emeka Ojukwu, of plotting against him and the breakaway Republic of Biafra. They denied charges of treason. They were trying to save lives and their country, they said, by negotiating an early ceasefire with the federal government and reuniting Nigeria. They failed, they died and, in the next two and a half years, so did more than a million Igbos. The day of the execution was 25 September, 1967, and the time 1.30pm. There was a very short gap between trial and execution, not least because federal troops were closing in on Enugu, the Biafran capital, giving rise to fears that the “guilty four” might be rescued. As the execution approached, the four men were tied to stakes. Ifeajuna, with his head on his chest as though he was already dead, kept mumbling that his death would not stop what he had feared most, that federal troops would enter Enugu, and the only way to stop this was for those about to kill him to ask for a ceasefire. 2. Jaja Anucha Wachukwu participated in the struggle of the Igbo people for freedom and justice against Nigeria. Later, during the war, he fell out with the Government of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu because he spoke out against the recruitment of child soldiers. He was arrested and detained by the Ojukwu Government. And was, at the end of the Biafran war released by a young Nigerian Army Officer called Theophilus Danjuma. 3. The Administrators of Biafra knew they had limited ammunition and food to keep on with the war. However they continued despite all negotiations. The list of some Administrators/Officials are: President and Commander-in-Chief (Biafran Armed Forces) - Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Vice President and Chief of General Staff (Biafran Armed Forces) - Philip Effiong Chief Justice of Biafra and Ambassador Plenipotentiary - Sir Louis Nwachukwu Mbanefo Military Ambassador and International Negotiator for the Government of Biafra - Timothy C. Modu (Amaldike of Arondizuogu) Head of the Biafran Civil Service. Involved in weapon sales - Austin Ugwumba Biafran Army Commanders - Hillary Njoku - Alexander Madiebo Biafran Air Force Commanders - Chude Sokey - Godwin Ezeilo - Jan Zumbach (Polish World War II Ace) Commander of the Airport at Uli - Major George Akabogu Chief Secretary of the Biafran Military Government - Mr. Ntieyong Udo Akpan Permanent Secretary of the Biafran Ministry of Information and Propaganda - Peter Chigbo Governor of the Bank of Biafra - Mr. Sylvester U. Ugoh Commissioner Special Duties - Dr. Sylvanus John Sodienye Cookey Biafran Foreign Minister - Godwin Alaoma Onyegbula Head of Biafran Red Cross - Moses Iloh Author and Leader of the Foreign section of the Biafran Ministry of Information and Propaganda - Mr. Cyprian Ekwensi Biafran ambassador to some East African and Francophone countries. - Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe Biafran Foreign Minister, travelling in Europe, stationed in Lisbon - Matthew Tawo Mbu Biafran Ambassador to Abidjan, Ivory Coast - Dr. Sebastian Okechukwu Mezu Biafran representative based in Lisbon - Egbert Nwogu Biafra's special representative in Paris - Chijioke I. Dike Rowing ambassador in France and Former French colonies; Special representative in Ivory Coast - Dr. Kenneth O. Dike Biafran Representative Envoy to Canada. - Dr. Nwonye Otue (Medical Doctor) Ojukwu's Cabinet Secretary - George Nwanze 4. Ojukwu was very much alive and well till his passing in 2011. Why wasn't he accused of genocide. After all Not all igbos wanted Biafra and Not all Biafrans were Igbos. Ben gbulie is still alive. Nwobosi just died last year ... ... When, there is An Expanded, Balanced Narrative on A Situation, there's Authenticity. . Both Sides had supporting Nations . Both sides had casualties . Nigeria wanted truce. Hence the several, continuos negotiations with key persons (Administrators) of Biafra . No one wanted to annihilate a group. Both sides were at war. It was not a case of Nazi Germany trying to create a "Living Space" , hence, their agenda of final solution of the Jews. Let us quit the agenda of blackmailing and Cherry-picking ... gaslighting. No one is trashing the controversies surrounding the predominantly Igbo led coup d'état that saw the assassination of Major government officials less those of Igbo tribe. Though they set out as coup based on National Interest, it ended as a Tribalistic one. Even Nzeogwu, a truly nationalist officer, was distraught by the tribalistic turn out of the coup by the coupists sent to carry out assassination in the Eastern region. Do you think those who were assasinated in the Jan 1966 first Nigerian coup, don't have living relatives? Till date families of Victor Banjo, who was executed by Ojukwu, are still mourning. ---------------- We can keep at pointing fingers. But if we do not give a balanced narrative, we would not find a middle ground. Every Tribe is mourning.
You are pathetic. I would reply you, but that would mean condescending to your ignorance. Typing twenty paragraphs doesn't make you wise dear.... your argument clearly shows how empty you really are as regards the facts leading to the war. Officers were killed during Nzogwu led coup...and there was no counter coup🤔..which killed Ironsi? Yet the counter coup didn't stop the massacre of more than 30,000 Southerners (mostly Igbos) in Northern Nigeria 🤔 You are utterly senseless
Did you know that even with the millions of lives lost, till date Biafrans did not regret are nt regretting and will never regret going into that war Did you know how Igbos were being treated and massacred in the North? Businesses destroyed, market men and women, children killed in numbers
@Sebastian Guevara the truth hurts eh? Biafra was supported by Racialists, rebels were in league with those who did not wish to share the commonwealth equally with their fellow men
Ojukwu wanted to rule at all cost. Easterners wanted revenge for the 1966 massacres.(propaganda) Northerners/westerners wanted to end Igbo domination.(propaganda) Gowon wanted submission from Ojukwu. French wanted oil. Britain wanted oil. Halie Selassie wanted a Noble peace prize. Russia wanted money. The war, to an extent would have been totally avoidable if our Leaders at that time, had let go of their FOOLISHNESS and recognize that they were being played by these outsiders, and then work in unity for the general good of the people. Please go and read accounts on the whole 'BIAFRA' situation. Don't rely solely on what old folks tell you, most of their stories are as a result of propagandas spread by Ojukwu and Gowon before and after the war.
Chimenum Wobo guy you are well read. God bless you. Most people rely on propaganda, half truths and lies passed on from generations. All these were solely fueled with sentiments.

The most Senseless war ever fought! Such a pity... I wish Ironsi had punished and executed the coup plotters who killed Tafewa balewa, and Saudana. Commensurate with the Emir and Northern leaders to avoid this war How can you win a war, when you don't produce your weapons or even the food you ate? leading young children to their deaths
le biafra représente un travail de conditions qui sont toujours d'actualité à ce jour, la peur, la mort, la faim, le désert, la sécheresse et le désespoir des pays pauvres, ce qui se produit réellement et ou peut encore se produire dans tous les pays.
At 12:52 it was obvious they had no weapons but they remained irrelevantly optimistic ... Such optimism with no source of substance whatsoever is what Ifeajuna stood against for which he was branded a traitor... The common igbo man still do not know the truth of the war
