It took me 44 PLAYTHROUGHS (with various conditions) to trigger them all. General Advice: In the lategame sometimes they won't tell for some reason if you triggered their agenda! All Civ 6 Unique Agenda-related Leader Cutscenes.
Specifically, animated characters that once ruled their respected empires and are remembered by being part of 6th installment of a strategy game that was made in 1981, judging the decisions that you make over your own empire that usually doesn’t effect their empire, themselves, or their allies
I like how the Viking guy, unlike everyone else, isn’t mad at you for not prioritising navy, he just warns you that you’d be easy to raid, and even calls you friend when he denounces you.
It’s in the 4 heavy chariots that run as thunder in the sky The cries of the 5 footmen whom charge forward and my scouts whom stalk from afar **Shiiing* where is my honour?... let me show you.
"There's no shame in deterrence. Having a weapon is very different from actually using it" -Mohandas Gandhi, while arming his arsenal of high-capacity ICBM nuclear missiles.
Canada, of all places, was the first power in my game to launch a nuke. Until then, the friend of mine who showed me the game was convinced the AI would never launch Nukes (in Civ 6)
except in difficulties where you don't know anything about a civ even if you've met them (for example diety) where he'll just laugh then anger "ha, ha ha ha ERRRGH" as far as i remember anyway. edit: in _those difficulties_ they use the denounce animation
Agreed, but they portray Arabs very negatively, as Religious fanatics when in reality, Saladin was without a doubt the kindest ruler in Western and Middle-Eastern lands of his time.
He was, but you can't deny his religious fervour either! Although it's how most leaders were back then in the Middle East and West. In his other cutscenes they don't tend to focus on this, but on his wish for peace yet acknowledgement for war when there is no other way, so taking them as a whole, I think it gives a lovely and realistic (for civ lol) recreation of the actual Salah-ad-Din!
Peter the Great irl was a progressive leader who led the effort to modernize Russia during his reign. So it's just fitting if he likes Science and Culture progression in the game.
@@14112ido Progressive but rutheless more than even ivan the terrible he was also pretty paranoid which didnt help. If i remember correctly peter the great put his own son on a pike. And this wasnt an acident like with ivan the terrible this was a cold blooded decision.
France dislikes you for not spying in the ancient era, kongo doesnt like you not spreading a religion you founded literally last turn, and germany hates you for killing the city states he doesnt like people being friendly with. This game is weird
Eldar Urkumbaev 8G Welp, her problem is not so much that you have a city where she doesn't, as much as she doesn't have a city where you do. Victoria has already proven to the historians that the Empire likes to put her nose in everybody's business... or slave and mineral sources.
they're nothing compared to how petty brazil and china are. 'I WANT ALL THE GREAT PEOPLE! I WANT ALL THE WONDERS! YOU HAVE MORE THAN ME, SO I HATE YOU!' fuck off
Pudding Princess i once had a game where gahndi secret second agenda was nuke happy and he disliked me for not using them even though it was still the ancient era.
Gilgamesh is such a bro. Like..seriously. He RADIATES big brother vibes. He's the guy who's got your back to the very end, even if you're both outgunned and outmatched. I wanna be like him when I grow up. ;) Pedro is like 'Whatever dude. I didn't want that Great Person anyway." *SIlently wishes for your death.* Montezuma: "I WANT IT TOO, MOMMY!"
You assume it's about having more since that's the way it almost always ends up being with human player. Although I will agree that even a single resource making him mad while you have a ton of common ones seems a bit sketchy...
Well in the history the Mexican empire was rich before the Spain's steals their gold and make slave they people, so they get hangry for the same reason, because you are stealing other nations
Actually there is a consistent reason as to why France likes or dislikes you in the early game, and that is if you send delegation to other civs or not, because it is tied to the whole diplomatic visibility system. So it is actually pretty easy to have France like you if you have some gold to spare.
@@thepizzafoogle5481 i don't know how, they always are neutral to me upon first meeting and refuse any attempts at contact until they like me for fulfilling an agenda
Lol Spain's voice line for a positive relationship has nothing to do with the subtitles provided by the game. He says "Somos una nacion de fe, y vuestro favor a nuestra devocion asombra" which translates to "We are a nation of faith, and your favor towards our devotion is astounding."
Catherine de Medicis' French line isn't really on point either. The litteral translation would be "Impressive. It appears your spies are everywhere. My ladies-in-waiting would be thrilled to entertain them during the party."
Neenjah Rammus “We are a nation of faith, and your favor towards our devotion honors you.” Brazil’s is also wrong, and since it’s so obvious that he ends with “Brazil, for example” instead of “for instance” I don’t understand why they refuse to literally translate these things.
Harald is such a cool guy. He isnt going all "Your navy is weak! Mine's better!" He's just pointing out that *maybe* you need to deal with that part of your military force as well
5:10 "We are a nation of Faith. And thine pledge to our devotion, honors thee." "Thou are not penitent,... thou blaspheme out! God's wrath shall fall upon thine head!"
It was really difficult job to trigger them all, but actually quite fun. Yes there is 40 of them, and not bugged or something... just sometimes (especially in the late game), they just dont show up. If you have any agenda-related questions, I will try to answer (hopefully I can :) ).
+GreenPhantom One game where I was playing as Roosevelt, Montezuma was dangerously close to getting a Religion victory. So I decided to ask Gandhi to declare a Joint-War against the Aztecs to which he of all people agreed. The very next turn, Gandhi's disapproval came up over a war HE agreed to join. Hypocritical much? Another game where I was playing as Gandhi, Cleopatra's normal disapproval came up because I was "weaker" than her, but the next turn, she exposed her hidden agenda, praising me over me being weak. Suppose this Cleopatra was bipolar? (Should Qin Shi Huang and Tomyris' disapprovals come up, expect them to denounce you soon the next turn)
You gotta appreciate the little details like Cleopatra checking you out while talking about your weak army and having an ever so small smile on her face while doing so
Great animations, but I just feel some of them don't make sense and makes them extremely predictable. Look Catherine, I know you like espionage, but this is the fucking ancient era where spies don't exist, so stop taunting me about not spying when you aren't either. And why does Frederick hate city states that much? It doesn't play into his win condition and it seems to be there for the sake of having someone who tries to deny you CS. Then you have Pedro/Monte/Mvemba who are just jealous about you having something they don't.
The Black Queen agenda is about diplomatic access, not espionage per se. In the early eras, Cathy will approve or disapprove based on your delegations and embassies with her and other players.
About Barbossa, i think it has to do with the fact he had to deal with lots of City states during his conquest of present day Italy, so it might be natural he just hates those with a passion.
The agendas aren't supposed to be about trying to win, they're about trying to emulate the leaders' history. So Barbarossa, for instance, isn't going to be happy with people trying to take control of the city-states that he envisions as becoming a great German Empire.
Oh shit I just realized in the weak military part, she looks down, and then places her hand on her hip. Now I want to wash my eyes out with bleach and Windex.
I see all of their Unique Agenda Scenes; and I expected it should be like those(Includes Player and AI): Sumerian-Sparta-Rome Alliance (Sumerian were bond on friends as long as you didn't attacking his allies/friends, while Sparta/Rome were like to be Warmonger for Dominion Victory) Scythia-India-Kongo Alliance (Kongo will accept on ANY religion offered; India and Scythia likely to prefer Peace and Formal) Kongo-Spain-Aztec Alliance (Aztec are always keep an eye on resorces especially on Kongo, sharing the resorces will make Aztec like Kongo; Spain was main on Christian, and he likes to have allies with same religion [Kongo accepts it] ) England-Norway Alliance (Navy forces always get the Nordic's eye) and there's some stuff you can't avoid: If you're playing as China; you might having trouble against Brazil (China were Wonder Makers; and need more Great People to contruct those) Spain will be automatically into War-Zone against Arabic(It's Islam vs. Christian) It's there any improvements on analysis of their Empire; tell me OR add some info about their empire.
(Includes Poland, Australia, Persia, and Macedon DLCs) Spartan-Persian-Macedonian Alliance: Cyrus likes leaders that declare surprise wars and Gorgo and Alexander both like warmongers. Anglo-American Alliance: If Theodore Roosevelt and Victoria wind up on the same continent, the two can be expected to co-exist peacefully. Polish-Arabian/Spanish Alliance: Jadwiga likes civs with high faith and Saladin/Phillip II are most likely to build faith for their sacred Religions. Sumerian-Australian Alliance: John Curtin wants to establish Defensive Pacts with his allies and Gilgamesh will take a liking to Australia should Curtin become his friend. Russian-Roman Alliance: Russia's ability "Mother Russia" allows it to grab extra territory when founding new cities. You can imagine how happy this makes Trajan. Roman-Polish/Australian Alliance: Jadwiga/John Curtin have the ability to grab extra territory via culture bombing. Trajan of course will take liking to Poland/Australia. Persia VS Scythia: Cyrus and Tomyris are polar opposites of each other regarding their reactions to Surprise Wars. Fits considering that they were historical enemies. Poland VS Russia: As Jadwiga and Peter focus on different areas (Faith for Jadwiga and Science/Culture for Peter), the two will fail to understand each other's approach. China VS Poland/Australia: As mentioned before, Jadwiga/John Curtin can use Culture Bombs. This means they can also steal unfinished Wonders. You can imagine how much this upsets Qin. Germany VS Australia: Like I've mentioned in my previous reply, Frederick Barbarossa wants to conquer City-States. This will put him at odds with Curtin should he succeed to add them to his empire. India VS Macedon: See India VS Sparta. Poland VS Kongo: As Mvemba is unable to build Holy Sites, consequently crippling his ability to build up Faith, Jadwiga will judge Mvemba based on this disability. Poland/Australia VS Aztec: As mentioned before, Jadwiga and Curtin can grab extra tiles via Culture Bombs. This will earn Monty's wrath should those tiles happen to have Luxuries he does not have yet.
(Includes Poland, Australia, Persia, and Macedon DLCs) German-Macedonian Alliance: As Frederick wants to add City-States to his empire, Alexander will be glad to let him do so. American-Polish Alliance: As Theodore needs Faith for his National Parks, he will have a chance of winning over Jadwiga. Egyptian-Japanese Alliance: Cleopatra values militarism highly and Japan's militaristic tendencies will impress her. Kongo/Russia VS Brazil: Mvemba and Peter's bonuses towards Great People will mean they will clash with Pedro from time to time. Kongo VS Japan: As mentioned in Kongo VS Poland, Mvemba is unable to build Holy Sites. Consequently, this will also mean Hojo will judge him for this disability. Sumeria/Arabia/America VS Macedon: Alexander's warmongering tendencies means he's likely to declare war on the nearest civ. This will irk Gilgamesh/Saladin/Roosevelt should the attacked civ be his friend/a follower of his religion/on his continent. Germany VS Arabia: Yet again, Frederick wants to add city-states to his empire. This will put him at odds with Saladin if the City-State happens to be a follower of his religion.
For some reason France once actually liked me in the Ancient ages. I have no idea how that happened and it also disliked me on another savefile on the same version. I was playing as Scotland, just in case.
3:55 french subtitles are completely out but the meaning is somewhat here. However there is a nice little innuendos in here, lucky spies can bang some handmaidens ^^
Immagine having Alexander and Gorgo with Gandhi and Roosevelt in the same game, also using Pericles with Frederick as your neighbour. Cit. Pericles and Frederick have practically the same agenda
It seems that Gandhi's negative reaction occurs whenever you declare war on anyone. Even if your war is one of the 3 Casus Belli with *no warmonger penalty* the game will give you Gandhi's negative reaction. Just the simple act of declaring war is enough, even if it is absolutely justified, or against a City State.
This happened yesterday: *meet Ghandi* Ghandi: "Having a weapo-" *declares war because my free city joins him* Ghandi: :( Cleo: *notices my shitty 4 units* >:( *Levies CS units* Cleo: :3 Ghandi: >:C It was a true up and down of agenda cutscenes in like 10 turns
Harald: your sees are unprotected, all too easy to raid. Me: well, I'd like to see you try to raid the only coastal city I have that has 10 jet bombers in range.
"having a weapon. is actually different from using it. allow me to demonstrate." *proceeds to unload his entire nuclear arsenal, damning the world to hell*
Harold bad agenda actually helped me notice my navy was way to weak and that was why the Barbarians were raiding my sea trade routes. So thanks Harold, you helped win my game :)
Me: *is always friend with gorgo bcs I often conquer at least one empire in early game* Also me: *tries playing China and being a bit less agressive* Gorgo: I dont want to play with you anymore
5:12 Actual Translation: We're a faithful nation, it's honorable your help to our devotion. Maybe that's not the best translation but as you can guess Ensligh's not my mother tongue.
if he has spread his religion into a city you control that contains a holy site, you can build missionaries of his faith. using them to convert cities will improve relations with saladin.
I had just finished a war with Teddy and then he thanked me for keeping the peace, ok thanks teddy, just disregard the fact the you have 2 cities left.
