nice job, ty for posting, just working on my ‘74 unit and always have trouble with clutch alignment with my old farmer tools. just about to order double cardan rear driveshaft. had too much trouble with my last ‘72 cj moving the perches to get some kind of even ratio alignment even with a small lift.
I have a 90 yj with a 360 AMC engine, and it is running a 4.0 starter .I have a vibration that does not go away with clutch pushed in. Any idea on this would be appreciated.
I assume the vibration is when the vehicle is not moving? What transmission? Does the clutch operate properly and smoothly? My first thought would be an issue with the flywheel or clutch assembly. AMC V-8 flywheels are specific to each motor. Can't run a 304 flywheel on a 360 for example. Will cause a vibration.
You reaffirmed my thoughts, I'm in process of putting a different tran . This 360 is running a 4.0 starter so I know something is wrong. Thank you for your time.
Yes. I think they were ARP bolts I used. I can find the part number/ where I got them and post it. This project was in pieces when I got it. Had none of the original bolts
