@@old-rcplane-phart even ebay/amazon wheels would work! Vanquish just offers some methods and old school type wheels that I believe would be a nice fit
Mine just shipped today now that they are in stock up here in the great white north. Mine will end up with a Fusion Pro 2300, Treal wheels and a Flysky rx so I can use my GT5 radio.
That is a good looking vehicle. Personally I think the Proline KM3s would look and perform just right for this rig. Especially once you get them scrubbed in a bit. If you wanna stay with the swampers, I’d go with the Proline versions hands down.
I have been super impressed with the J Concepts I’ve tried, tusk, ruptures, holds and megalithic’ s so why do you think the prolines’s would be better? I’ve been trying to decide one over the other for the Hunk and TSL’s.
Those are all great Jconcepts tires. I have tried all of them including the Hunks. For a Swamper style tire the Prolines will easily out crawl the Hunks in my experience and look better doing it. The Hunks have a very shallow flat tread that is almost completely smooth and has very little bite. I have also found G8 rubber to be more consistent and predictable across a wider range of temperatures and types of rock. That being said, I run a lot of both brands of tires.
I ordered proline Krawler predator compound for the front and g8 for the rear. Hopefully it’ll be a good setup along with 90mm dravtech shocks. Want it to perform the best while still looking like a scale rig which I think it will.
When I converted my old 10iii I used a Bowhouse 3-gear adapter. But at this point in time it would be best to use a Basecamp transmission. It’s about the same thing.
You said you weren't gonna modify this truck and then did so(heavily) within a week. I figure with your lack of self-control your CJ will be caked with mud next rainfall.🙄
Those tires don't seem to do well at your place imo. I have proline swamper xl's on my Capra and they do great. But being used to seeing those. Those jconcepts just look like Chinese ripoff's to me. Imo.
It looks kinda dumb for something that is supposed to look scale (realistic) to drive around with no driver. Might as well go full performance with MOA and no body.
