Happy New Year! 2023 was epic for the RC world. In this video we unbox the ‪@axialvideos‬ SCX10 III Jeep CJ7. Easily the best RTR release of the year.

We have the grey one. And we love this car. Now we want the red bit it’s in backorder by Axial. Everybody loves this car. It is also a really great car. We cann’t wait to personlize this thing😍

Certainly not a bad idea. I never understood by companies didn’t make the power button accessible with the body on and ready to go.

🤣 Klein makes good stuff. I have some screw drivers and a multimeter. Wasn’t aware they made a foldable utility knife for everyday use. Thanks for watching. P.S. I’m a Dewalt guy. 😉

I noticed the body on these don't sit all the way down on the left side. You will see just ahead of the drivers door where there is a gap between the black plastic at the back of the fender and the sliders. The right side sits all the way down. I traced it down to the strap holder on the left edge of the left side battery tray hits the underside of the drivers door sill. I trimmed about 1/8" off the the strap holder and now the body sits all the way down on both sides.

I’m assuming 2nd gear. I have plans to remove the dig and make it a 2 speed so I’ll know for sure soon. Thanks and Happy New Year.

Is it worth changing to brushless with separate receiver and ESC? More run time?

I’m not sure. You could probably get better low end control by going brushless. Not sure how much runtime you’re looking for. I can get hours out of a 3S 5000mah. Thanks for the question.
