Hi Richard, Great video as always and it really looks to be a fine tractor. I'll bet you'll find she will not be cheaper than the rest now as they used to be. Really good review on it and thoroughly enjoyed it. 🚜🇮🇪👍
Been using a Arion 660 on a silage clamp recently. Having been used to John Deere 6Rs. The Deere's to me are easier to get to grips with. The Arion has Cebis fitted. I'm not a great fan of electronic gadgets, but I can see how the thing is starting to come together with the touch screen and where and what set up it has, and how it all fits in together. Maybe there is too much choice of how to operate it? The radio and blue tooth are a bit of a pain compared to the Deere. The Claas would hold its own rolling on the clamp side walls, just flick the switch opposite direction let the drive take up the slack before thinking about increasing the revs. A lot of the time it will take it backwards without a lot of (if any) revs, which is handy and prevents spinning up the sides. One of the niggles is where the engine oil dipstick is located. I find that if you leave it on a right hand lock it will make access easier in the morning when you go to check it- just pull the mudguard back and you can slot in between that and the fuel tank rather than clambering over the axle. The mirror on the rear window is handy for hooking up trailers, there is a knack depending on you can twist around to start with!! Bloody good work lights though. Can't comment on any draft functions though.
Great video Richard, looks a nice tractor pulling plough okay, have you cut your oats yet? About time you got them old John deere and Ford out for a spin.
Looks a fair tractor. Sometimes you pay for the name and features you don’t always need. Definitely more proven than they were. Are you tempted to buy it?
I knew they bought Renault years ago but didn't know it was massey gearbox or JD engine. They can't be that bad then and if you've got the back up, though I'd expect you to get one a couple of years old and save a packet especially if you know where it's come from? Apparently they don't hold their money the main problem.
Think the Claas rep is talking b😊ll😊cks, the agreement with Claas and MF is very much 50:50 in the gearbox plant - you should try the latest Massey 7718S 😉
