Opened earlier in 2023, this project was an upgrade to an existing route which was for walking, but was also used by people cycling because it was more direct and safer than using local roads between the village of Jaywick and the edge of Clacton-on-Sea.
The new 1km route extends NCN150 to Jaywick has a wonderful machine-laid surface and sports pv-solar/ wind powered lighting.
