2:28 surely you could glue all those slat slivers into something? Chamferization by table saw, so cunning. Seems the burning temptation to always reach for the router can sometimes be avoided. What a nifty desk Mark, I like that the legs are hollow which dramatically cuts down on the weight and leaves a space for the hairy grey spiders to creep in and make families. The number of mitres that you cut is staggering and you didn't even cheat (by routing the lines out later) down the edges and you made all those individual squares instead. It's all there in one funny, informative and inspirational package. Sawdust sliding, slabification, glue uping, cockups, mathification and so much more. If there is one person on the internet that will get people out in the shed and just getting started it's you. Thank you for the hard work that you put into bringing us you videos. (Edit: I forgot the science, that's not really a table saw, it's actually a mass spectrometer)
Thanks Mark for another great video. Love the desk (and the dog). I giggled all the way through (as usual) - my partner often asks, “Are you watching that pallet guy in Australia again?” 🙂 I plan to get a pallet buster this month and start the journey. Thanks again to an Aussie Bloke from a Welsh bird living in Surrey, England. 👍
@@dainermade I am, I do. Made a bunch of console / hallway tables. I have slideshows on my channel. You truly do awesome work with the skate boards too! Pallets are super easy to come by. But the skate boards are just dynamic looking!
Mark, its Saturday morning here in the UK, and this is a perfect start to my weekend, sipping tea, with my feet on my, Dainer inspired pallet wood coffee table.. The comedy and content you produce is perfect, for a duffer like me, who is forever c**cking, up my calculations. Long may it continue. "All hail the pallet master" !!!!!!!🙃🙃🙃
Fuggin noice matey! I honestly had no idea what you were cooking up there. As a bed head that bed head looked like it belonged in the Kardashians 🤣 as a desk, that shit works tremendously !!👌 what a win, Came out lookin like a bought one!
Nice build Dainsy. I must be honest and confess that when I saw the bedhead I thought, ''Dainsy must have picked that up off the side of the road, there's no way he'd have one like that'....☺. It seems that was not the case. Never mind, moving right along.... The desk looked amazing. I'm pretty sure the WANCA method has been around in one form or another for a very long time and has been used in many different ways. Anyway mate, keep up the good work. All the best.
Another great build m8! I’m always excited to see what your next video is going to be and the build you come up with. Your gift is the best! Nice job and great humor! 👍
@@dainermade honestly I have unsubbed from several that have just gotten into tool reviews and stuff like that. The build videos are what gets me watching. I understand that got to do what pays the bills but seems like few and far between are many creators giving us builds to watch.
I don't think I'll qualify for the challenge, but I'm making pallet wood cornhole boards for my daughters' families, and I'm having a great time-mistakes, do-overs, pleasant surprises and all! Thanks for your motivating encouragement and creativity.
@Dainer Made Thanks for letting me know. I should have checked the entry details again. The boards are in the final stages. I _did_ remember to "check square"!
He's back again!🥰🫡 M8 that looks sweet love the recycled bed head desk looks sweet as a nut. I need get my finger out my arse and get pallet challenge done. Been kinda busy getting the shop moved over. But I'll get it. 😬🏴👍
Always, always love these videos, thanks, Mark! Am currently traveling in Mexico, keep looking around to see if their pallets are any different than ours. Hoping to get our biggest pallet project done and filmed in time for your pallet challenge. Deadline is end of March? 🤞🏽
All my, "other ingredients" are always migrating around and getting mixed up with stuff, the other day I meant to make a sawhorse but ended up with a new saw handle! Gonna have to rethink my strategy.
Excellent!! Dang Mark, that is one amazing desk! Definitely a cool project. I too have struggled with my calculations on past projects. I am the proud owner of several sets of 3 coasters because of math, or my lack of being skilled at math!!
Great build. Can't wait to get a table saw, picked up more pallets yesterday and they had 4x4s and even a couple 4x6 on them. Was even able to grab some that weren't pine 😂😂
Your not a wanca. You are an owner operator 😂. You still own all your fingers and they sort of operate. Sometimes with a mind of their own but hey 🤷♂️😂 cheers mate
Have you ever tried making 4x4 (or bigger/wider/thicker) beams out of pallet wood and will they be strong enough to be used in simple construction projects (porch/patio roof...) ? (beams should be at least 10ft -3m in length)
Mark be truthful how many times have you used the "Sawdust Slide" trick and still gone arse over tit onto your head in the workshop! As always buddy 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
I think the truly passionate woodworkers like your self live for buggering up stuff because that elevates you to the joys of problem solving and then self admiration for the solution. You have quite a selection of colorful (colourful) words. Which is great if you Iive down under, however I suspect that that the majority of us up here are likely missing out on your true wit. May a short cheat sheet of your favorites translated? Or flashed on screen . A little brain teaser. Where on the planet can you go 1km south, 1km west and then 1km north and end up where you started?
