You should watch Little Dorrit. She's absolutely fantastic in it. I was shocked to discover that her career hadn't really taken off after that and it took near 8 years until the release of The Crown for her to be really recognised as she deserved it.
Her accent, her understated style, down-to-earth nature, and her strikingly blue eyes is all so mesmerising. A regal-like persona, that I could totally see myself sitting opposite her at dinner, and just stare her into her eyes, listening to her talk about the weather.
Get RYAN Gosling to do this,. he has had so many iconic characters. Half nelson, the notebook, lars, drive, The nice guys, La la land, The place beyond the pines, Blade runner 2049, first man etc. I wish he would do more interviews

Absolutely loved her in Little Dorrit. She totally captured the essence of that iconic character. Largely thanks to her phenomenal performance it's one of my all-time favourite period dramas and I constantly return to it again and again. No wonder I was truly shocked to discover that after such a fantastic debut her career didn't really take off and for a very long time she seemed to kinda stagnate playing mostly obscure secondary roles. I am really happy that it all changed with the release of The Crown and she finally achieved the well-deserved worldwide recognition.
Incredible actor...I saw UNSANE and then watched The Crown and did not realize she had been in the former as the lead till I read it in her IMDB page! I miss her Queen Elizabeth already !

Hosting SNL doesn't mean you're famous or even a good actor/actress/comedian/whatever. Hosting SNL means you have a good agent with connections to NBC. She will fade into obscurity momentarily.

GQ you really don't understand the meaning of 'iconic'. Claire Foy Is talented no doubt but the only of those that you could argue is iconic is Queen Elizabeth in The Crown. Iconic characters are ones that transcend the film/show they're in to the point that people who haven't even seen them know who it is.
Out of the 23 movies and tv shows that I know of , my favorites (other than the Queen) were Season of the Witch, Unsane and The Spider Web. Iconic also means victorious and she has quite a resume.
That's where I first saw her. Really enjoyed her performance and hoped she'd go on to more widely recognized projects. Looks like she's doing really well!

I think Claire is wonderful actress and its good she has some recognition now but her career is too short to be named iconic. GQ overplays with a celebrity world, really. Wish her luck though

Not sure what it is about her, the intellect, the grace, the color of her eyes, the cute body freckles, her shyness, the accent? Or just the entire sum of it all but i could honestly listen to this angel speak and watch her innocent smile for days without missing anything or anyone. Crazy right. Long Live Elizabeth 😋
I think it was the Crown that set her up to a world renowned actress for solely reason doing 20 episodes is different than a movie, we get to see her more of her memorable acting. Not even Olivia could fit the shoes, Claire made it almost impossible for the next actress to fill in the Crown main character.
