Toreador do not need to be seductive or sexual in nature, they're silver tongued and appreciate beauty, but they could easily just be an art expert or smth to that extent
Got into it while playing VtM Bloodlines. Played as the Tremear, pretty much easy mode, but that's how I got into the lore. Now that I mentioned Bloodlines somebody reinstalled it.
@The Maple Table One of my fondest childhood memories playing Vampire the masquerade was when I was captured by the inquisition and tortured (hear me out please) and recorded on a cam corder with holy water and other such vampire proving methods. At the end of the torture the head inquisitor told me to face the camera and admit the existence of my kind... (Anyone as old as me might remember the following message at the start of VHS tapes) Calmly i turn to the camera and state: "This video cassette contains scenes of extreme violence and should not be viewed by young minors or those of a sensitive nature. Video piracy is a crime! Demand a genuine cassette from your video store" We all erupted in laughter! 😂
Your description of the Toreador has almost single-handedly gotten me kicked out of my first LARP, which I haven't even made a character for. Well done.
Which is exactly why you double-check any information you hear and don't take all of your information about a clan from a brief description that lasts roughly 21 seconds. That one is on you chief.
@gachalordnoobie4911 This comment is almost 2 years old, it's for a game I had never played, and I was attempting to do my own research but it's kind of hard to know what's right and what's not for interpretations of lore for a game you've never played. You look like a jackass acting this smug.
The video came out pretty good. Of course, a lot is missing, but still this is the introductory video. I would love to hear about my favorite clans, namely Gangrel, Tzimisce, Ravnos and Salubri. Although, all clans have a very interesting history so I will be looking forward to the video about each. In the meantime, thank you very much for your efforts 👍 And I hope the heat does not bother you anymore
Yea, the goal here was short and sweet. The main videos will be much longer and more substantial. I think we are through the worst of it now, in terms of the heat. Summer is usually warm but not like that.
The Tremere would be interesting. Are they a Vampire clan from the first edition? Where they part of WoD since before Ars Magika or were they introduced later? Where they in Vampire before being in Mage the Ascension?
Oh man, I would hate to be on the side of the Children of Gaia in a story that revolves around the children of Gaia in the Followers of Set! For a canonical crossover between vampire and werewolf I would look for the Society of Niddhog camp of the Shadow Lords and their allyship of opportunity with the Lasombra. I imagine this has a lot to do with their combined hatred of the Tzimisce.
I like vampires and werewolves and I wonder if this Vampires are any different from vampires in movies/video games like underworld or any other vampire media and I like the banu haquim and the brujah and the the gangerl
A good job on the Vampire clans from Vampire the Masquerade my friend. I've listened to Lazar of Stygia's top ten Vampire Clans, History and the lore of the Antediluvians of the Vampires from Vampire the Masquerade. My favorite clan will be Clan Gangrel because they have this animalistic nature. And my favorite vampires are Akasha Bloodriver Mother of Moka Akashiya and leader of the Three Dark Lords from Rosario + Vampire, Gabriel Belmont aka Dracula the Dragon from Castlevania Lords of Shadow, Enkidu the Noah, and of course Count Dracula himself.
Any clan can work with Garou. It's all politics. And pretty often boils down either to common enemy, or keeping or changing status quo, so both sides can benefit from it. The only, or best hint to realization will Garou will work with particular Cainites is their Humanity level. Low humanity level means Leeches reek wyth Wyrm. Plain and simple.
This is incredibly misleading. Ultimately, there are only two clans. There's the Lasombra and then there are whose who serve the Lasombra. That's it. Source: The Lasombra.
Hm, the Hecata / Giovanni were one of the few clans, who haven't got a tribe assigned? Maybe because they were/are some Giovanni in the Pentex headquarters? Other than that, Hecata covers 6 clans: Giovanni (most numberous) Samedi (ugly Voodoo necromancers) Harbinger of Skulls (Cappadocians who failed an intelligence test back in their time) Nagaraja (cannabalistic necromancers) Cappadocians (VDA20 daddies of Giovanni and Harbingers) Lamiae (VDA20 plaguebearing necromancers)
Vampire the masquerade 20th anniversary edition, changing breeds for werewolf the apocalypse 20th anniversary edition, the book of the Umbra, and book of the wrym. All rule books either for vampire the masquerade or werewolf the apocalypse.
I know this is about a year or late but The followers of set and the children of Gaia would be opposed to each other if anything the followers of set would probably team up with the black spiral dancers due to the both sides wanting to spread corruption. Great video though I always love when someone talks about the world of darkness as it's such an underrated game.
Maybe it not your topics, but if it is, i have a question. Is the Technocracy from "Mage: the ascension" and the Government correlated? or every organization work separately.
There's opportunities for cross over. Im less familiar with mage at the moment but these companies and governments could actually co-exist. Likely they are hostile with one another.
@@TheMapleTable Thank you, dude. NGL i wasnt expecting your response. 😂. One thing for sure, never do a crossover with glasswalkers and technocracy.... it is a mess.😂😂😂
They might actually be a good pairing lol. I find it amazing that people don't expect me to respond. Sometimes I miss responding to some comments but i really try to answer as many as I can. I also read every single comment :p
I painted with a very broad brush, you're right though. Labeling them all Alex Jones fans is not entirely representative of the clan though im sure a minority would.
@@TheMapleTable sure some would be but then again so would malkavians or gangrel the most simple description i have heard of brujah is that they are revolutionarys anarchists usually working in groups to change status quo
As a person who actually looks a lot like you about 8 years ago I suggest shaving your head. I know at the time I didn't want to also but a coworker convinced me to and after I got a lot of people saying I looked good.
As a DND player I got to say WOD is such a cool world, I plan on eventually getting the modules for the current WOD systems on top of DND 5e at some point
I probably won't be watching your vampire the masquerade videos no offense to you but there's already a lot of people who already do videos on vampire the masquerade and I hope when you do more series on World of Darkness I hope you will cover the lines that need more love I still love your videos tho wish you the best of luck
Appreciate the feedback, i will be covering the other games in the future. I will also be trying to make connections between all games im familiar with as i dont see to many doing it this way. If its still not for you no offence taken.
I'm really enjoying your VtM videos, they've very nostalgic for me. Back in college I was a beta player for 1st Edition and used to play a lot on some of the online WoD MUSHes, often crossing over the various game lines. I tried just about everything WW put out over the years but never actually got a chance to play Demon.
@@TheMapleTable One of the MUSHes I was on, somebody was clearly in on early Wraith and furiously coding it into the site as development went on. My poor little Masquer was cooped up in the Winchester House for six months before final release.
I understand that the goal was to give a super-cursory description of the clans, but I think your descriptions of Malkavians and Toreador are EXTREME stereotypes. You really only discussed "Fluffy Bunny" Malkavians and "Hookers and Blow" Toreadors. Both of those clans are way more than that.
This is a nice and succinct “quick and dirty” list of the vampire clans. It’s also neat that you include your thoughts on how they might interact with certain werewolf clans. I’m not well versed in WtA lore. Though I do have one question: Aren’t werewolves normally driven into a murder frenzy in the presence of Kindred from smelling like the Wyrm or something?
Thanks! No they are not driven to frenzy just because they smell the wrym. They as a species are called to destroy wrym influence, but there are tribes who make tenuous treaties with the leeches
