I know why she asked him this question. After gaining his powers again, Clark couldn’t sleep with her anymore. After his father’s death, his guilty for Lana’s dead parents became stronger. So he couldn’t kiss or hug her like earlier. That’s why it’s not surprising why she wondered if he still loved her.
This scene shows the whole basic concept the showmakers could come up with for 8 seasons: They both love eachother deeply but she has to leave. Its truly painfull to watch how utterly the writers destroyed this beautiful screen couple for 8 f$cking years and locked them in a melodramatic endless-loop. Sad,very sad.
Like Clark said...."I've always loved you...and I always will..no matter what happens" Clark and Lana FOREVER. no matter WHO comes along....Any other person will only be a Substitute....someone who is only there because Clark and Lana can't be together right now...
@@CasonB422 People settle all the time lol. Its the mature thing to do in many cases,doesn't mean that person you settle with is your true love. But Clark and Lana were kind of toxic. But alot of that ccould have been changed with a simple move out of Smallville.
