Ubermensch, the superior man, the "Superman" is a term significantly used by Friedrich Nietzsche. Nietzsche's version of "Superman" was "Caesar with Christ's soul." Nietzsche's duality of "man or Superman" is what Lana was referring to. Pretty deep stuff for a high school student to know, but it fits Clark Kent prophetically.
when i first saw lana lang played by kristin kreuk on that show i had a crush on her too she's so cute and very beautiful i adore her also i did watch smallville that was my christmas present last year
Yeah; she needs to get rid of that - not just for Clark’s sake but her own. Kryptonite is deadly for Kryptonians from the getgo, but in the long term it’s deadly to humans as well because of how radioactive it is, meaning prolonged or overly repeated exposure can lead a human to develop cancer. That’s one of the reasons Batman keeps the kryptonite he has in case Superman goes rogue so securely locked away (that and he doesn’t want anyone using it unless Superman actually DOES go rogue). I’m mot making that up; it’s actually part of DC lore - kryptonite is dangerous, and Lana needs to get rid of that thing.
I can't understand the reason why Lana was dating a guy like Whitney..He might be handsome (not as much as Clark, of course), but he seems stupid, selfish and nasty..I suppose, as Lana herself will say later on, it's just because he's always there when she needs him, he makes her feel safe..and feeling safe is probably the goal in the life of someone who has been growing up with no parents...
