Smallville, Scenes From Season 4, Episode 12, Pariah, Episode 19, Blank and Season 5, Episode 1, Arrival, showing how Chloe found out about Clark's Secret
I was bummed out also when I heard how Allison Mack's life went. I always thought she portrayed Chloe in such a way that she was overall hotter than the other actresses (and Kruek and Durance are hot).
I think it's a bad combination of "sticking around with a mom at work" and a very high paying "job"...It just trap the mentality of staying around...along with a confusion about where to draw a line between a personal and professional life and especially when having a sexual relationship with "the boss". But when all things morphed consistently then it's "harder" to get out when all the survival-needs are already provided for. And that's where she just accept into this state of reality.
Mack's mix of facial expressions when her character is hearing Clark's true origins is top notch and seems to suggest just the right sort of emotions one would actually feel in such an incredible scenario. 👏 👏 👏
"I figured if you wanted to tell me...you would when you were ready, in your own terms not mine" This is exactly why chloe and lois were the best for clark, they both waited and didn't force him to tell. Lana on the other hand was always "tell me, tell me, tell me"
Yeah Lexx and Lana to me, the characters not their icky relationship, got on my nerves with that. Whenever I rewatch the show I get so sick of Lana's moaning.
Such a shame that this actress was crazy in real life, because man, she delivered a fantastic Chloe Sullivan by far my favorite character of the entire show
Agreed. As someone who is a bit of a stodgy old "purist" in my entertainment, I was initially predisposed to NOT like Chloe. But she really won me over fast & became an absolute delight to watch.
Most of my favorite episodes has Chloe in it and of course John Glover. Smallville is one of the few shows with lots of great characters and actors that cared about the story.
@@johnstriker480 I love Supernatural as well, but I wouldn't compare the 2, because they are 2 very different shows, so it wouldn't be fair to compare them.
She was so cute, I remember to be pissed with Clark always whining for Lana who didn't give a f about him, while Chloe was there crazy about him all time 🤣
chole was such an amazing character and friend to clark, that scene when clark finally tells her was the best acted scene and so many super hero shows today are no way as great as smallvile was
Screw all that, remember when she kept trying to bait Clark to tell her but he look at her and said you been saying some strange things to me lately… 😂 I lost it once he said that to her lmfaoooooo
That episode was super it had me on the edge of my seat the way Tom welling hesitated before letting it all go and the way she accepted it and reassured him amazing hat's off
Wouldnt say ‘amazing friend’ when baiting Clark out of invasion about how he got adopted by insisting interviewing, her obsess feelings doesn’t respect Clark’s choice with Lana, in jealousy to work for Lionel’s too spy on Clark’s business behind friendship back in order to get her own desk at daily planet but she forgotten it and by playing victim at Clark, not what true friend does
@@magicbean4189 lana was so boring..even tho the actress is the female version of keany reeves , the immortal everybody looks fat and ugly and 50 or 60 years old while kristin kreuk looks 30
Lol, "practical effects" you psychopaths need to be committed to a mental asylum. Y'all actually think that the things you see in a show like this are real.
end of 2023,almost 2024,this still makes me want to watch it all over again,it is how good those acting skill we have back then, even with bad animation base on today‘s tech
I wish they could bring back this show all the actors made me want to dive back into my comic collection they bought my heros and villains to life again always a heart felt episode
Had a huge crush on Chloe when the show came out. Crazy to think how, well, crazy the actor is, or was. If you believe in second chances. Regardless of what you think of Allison Mack as a person, Chloe was a pretty great character, outside of the early season stuff where she was just 3rd wheeling Clark and Lana.
Chloe's character needed a major boost, and Alicia gave that to us by making a hard choice of revealing who Clark was to her minus the Krypton origin which Clark reveals later.
I know she done some mad stuff IRL. But Alison mack's acting skills in the scene where she sees Clark catching the car and super speed away. Her acting skills are phenomenal. Her reaction gives the viewer the impression the super feats performed by Clark are actually taking place. 👏🏾👏🏾 10/10
@@PSYCHOV3N0M that and she is a woman.we all know women are not accountable for anything, just the man. she was dudes direct partner but he got 120 years and shes out. go figure, lol
I was gutted when she turned out to be a major NXIVM player (wtf right?). She was always one of my fave Smallville stars. Arrival is still one of all-time fave episodes, mainly due to the fact that Chloe let Clark know she knew his secret and that he now had a trustworthy sidekick.
7:50 You hear that, Amber from Invincible?? This is how you react to somebody you care about finally revealing their secret to you that you already knew about!
Alicia KNOWS Chloe really cares about Clark and is a good guide for him and Alicia was right. Chloe has gotten Clark out of trouble MANY MANY MANY times ☯️
@@dadriamcgregor8346 After taking a bullet to protect his secret, she blatantly shows his best friend without hesitation. I believe the writers just wanted to kill her off already.
Ummm, that's not how his super hearing works, he actually has to focus on the sounds he needs to pickup, its not like his ears automatically pickup any slight sound like some random breathing.
@@enditakamweneshe6428 Of course that's how his super hearing works, just like you said he scans and focuses his hearing. Heartbeats and breaths first as priorities to pinpoint any humans in trouble, rest is secondary depending on the situation.
@@jasontreyes8078 During this scene he probably didn't bother to try and find who was around with his super hearing, your initial comment was making it look like he was supposed to automatically pick up her breathing and heartbeat subconsciously.
Well Clark does have to focus. They explain that in the show. Or else he would be way too powerful. There are multiple scenes where people sneak up on him. He doesn't hear them because he's not focused. He has to be in a state of focus for all his abilities. Except for flight. That comes naturally
I was so mad and heartbroken when Alicia died from a guy that can turn into sand. 💔💔💔 😠😠😠 At that point, in that episode, I can tell that Clark really wanted to kill that guy for what he done to Alicia.
I was hoping that maybe they could have a full redemption arc for Alicia going forward. They didn't have to axe off her character just after reintroducing her. Plus, one of the things I felt Smallville should have done was change things up a little bit to make the series more interesting. And one of those changes I would have done was have Clark interacting with more superpowered individuals and forming a small team with them. A mini-Justice League if you will. And I don't mean what they would eventually do in Season 6 that only lasted a few episodes. I mean really showcasing Clark not only being able to share his secret but also be with others who have powers similar to him. And having Alicia be the start of that could have been a great way to give her purpose, especially when it's someone who was once a villain.
@@daniellegoffpollack4156 Yeah, that is true. But I would have liked to see Alicia truly redeem herself, like having her save Lana from a situation that could have killed her and that she really did try to make amends.
9:12 "Chloe, there's a lot of things about me that even I don't understand". The look of disappointment on her face right after he said that shows that she thought he was going to continue lying and covering up information about himself.... until he dropped the big bomb on her!
I never liked the Pete character, he was just so underutilized and in the way. Then when he found out Clark’s secret he was such a punk all the time, every time he is on camera he is giving the side eye..
this is why I wish she ended up with clark instead of the way the Lois an Clark storyline went. Chloe was the best, wish she was my GF even til this day
Its funny how people takes some events in a logical way and discount the emotional state of the characters. At Season 4, Clark was about 18 years old, not a smartass old timer detective. But a grown up emotional mess teenager with barely legal age to enter a bar without fake ID. His GF, who've been accused of murder crimes, called him asking for help with a panic voice. Even adults dont think straight enough to make racional decisions under panic or stress, specially with time restrains (until car crashs) So no... - His panicked 18yo head would not think of suggesting her to teleport - Even if thar was the case, he would worry the car would hurt someone else. - Even with super hearing, he needs to focus on hearing what he wants, so he would not look for people if he didnt expect to be people around (he probably thought Alicia teleported out and just decide to go back) - Even if Clark was a Torch reporter, he didnt had the same passion as Chloe, and not even her as a passion driven one was able to put together that Clark wasnt your average farm boy. - Chloe was about the same age, and it's normal to turn a blind eye for what you dont wanna see at younger ages. We dont make racional decisions most times, we are emotional beings, even the super alien from Krypton showed with Red K that he has every single one of the humans flaws that we do, he just was created by better parents. Not super cop/detective parents... FARMERS. And the most human thing to do, is exact what the comment section is trying to do: "Remember a past event and think of what ifs with a calm mind and come up with better ways to deal with said events". Almost nobody makes the best decisions on their live at any given moment, why he would be different?
Realistically they didn’t make a new character with Chloe. They just changed Lana’s character into two people and allowed the story to differentiate itself from others. Overall incredibly done
@@axionestalus1079 I mean in terms of Lana was the gf or crush for a bit but quickly turned into jsut a friend that learned his identity. Whereas in the show they took the crush part and left Lana as just the crush and then made Chloe the best friend that learns of his abilities
In order to get past RU-vid's copyright issue, you have to either speed up or slow down video clips you want to show, which is why Smallville sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks.
"I wasn't born anywhere near Smallville...in fact, I wasn't born anywhere near this Galaxy" was such a wholesome statement, still gives me goosebumps...
When she said "Your secret will never leave these lips" It would have been hilarious if Clark turned around like "Oh I know, cuz you're gonna die now." Walks over to her bed and started choking her. 💀💀
it's quite simple really if someone pushes a chair against the back of your legs you automatically sit down. theoretically the teleportation to the car was a similar effect. Either that or the producers really didn't put that much thought into such a minor detail.
you guys dont seem to understand...this is his early years...senior in highschool. He didn't focus his abilities like this all the time...and when he was in the process of catching a speed carrrrr...thats only thing hes focused on guys lol.
Am just so in love with this program my favorite,mi a set, mi want everyone to know Jahovah is Father of all He's King of kings Lord of lords conquering g Lion of the tribe of Judah this, this movie is an antique🎉
LOL in theory running at that speed in such a cold area, she should have turned into a ice cube. But it's probably my favorite TV show ever, it is what it is.
Thank God when Clark lost his memories Chloe didn't try to convince him to join her cult Nxivm. It ain't easy to go from S&M back to normal, trust me I know.
This is awkward.Made awkward when everyone found out her secret and I don't mean one the show.I mean the real life one that's landed her in jail for 3-5 years or so.
years later and i still think this was so messed. Clarks secret was not hers to tell or show anyone. he trusted her .he stood up for her and protected her. idont care that she thought she was setting him free or whatever it wasnt her choice to make .
I hate the way the series omitted Alicia from this moment whenever Chloe recalled it. She was ignored the rest of the series. It was also probably unintentional that Jon & Martha were bigoted against 'Meteor-Freaks'. They didn't consider her good enough for Clark from the moment they found out about her powers.
Though I like this scene from a cinematography perspective, there's a huge plot hole here which ruins it for me: Clark knew about Alicia's teleportation powers, so in reality, he would have asked her "why don't you just teleport out?". If she'd made up some excuse as to why she couldn't, THEN it would have made sense for him to rush to save her. But the thought didn't even occur to him, and it never came up later.
He most likely focused on her panicking and decided to act fast and ask questions later. It’s normal for people to act fast when they hear people they care about panicking.
Alicia lost her powers a few times, it wasn't strange for Clark to think that somehow it happened again, but he wasn't going to ask at the time, he had to act quickly as the first comment says
